The Golden Age Awaits Us: An esoteric perspective on this time of great change...

Which perspective is the best perspective to have? Is seeing 'the bigger picture' helpful in understanding the current predicament of planet? A big part of the worries and concerns of most people are not so much about what is happening right now, but more about what may happen in the future. Many people are concerned about our world becoming a totalitarian police state, indefinitely. Some people are concerned about their jobs, their security, and if we will soon enter another great depression. I believe that looking at the bigger picture can help us understand where we are headed, maybe not right now but soon, very soon. I believe that this great cycles are the strongest motivators of change, and we should pay attention to where we are in them to understand where we are headed to next.

The Yugas Are 24,000 year cycles of time. In Hinduism, a Yuga is an epoch or era. The Yugas are the greatest influence on our times and fluctuate between times of great darkness and great light. Time is viewed a cyclical, that people slowly evolve, then slowly devolve, only to slowly evolve again. This is called the “Yuga cycle,” and it is divided into four different “yugas” or ages. The highest age is Satya Yuga, then Treta Yuga, then Dwapara Yuga, and the least evolved age is Kali Yuga.

A complete Yuga cycle from a high Golden Age of enlightenment to a Dark Age and back again is said to be caused by the solar system’s motion around a central sun. The solar system; our Sun and the planets around it, takes approximately 25,000 years to complete one cycle. When our solar system gets closer to the central sun, we have access to greater consciousness and possibilities. When our system moves away from the central sun, then we experience the lowest level of consciousness – the Kali Yuga. The Kali Yuga roughly corresponds to the end of the Mayan calendar and the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

As the solar system moves towards the galactic centre, the capability of human mind increases and its highest level is reached when the solar system is nearest to the galactic centre, which is known as Sat Yuga. So the half cycle is divided like this-

Sat Yuga - 5184 years - the best time that can happen
Treta Yuga - 3888 years - the next best time
Dwapara Yuga- 2592 years - the next best time
Kali Yuga- 1296 years- the worst time

The Kali Yuga Has Just Ended! Next Stop Is "The Golden Age"

Kali Yuga is known as The Age of Materialism. During Kali Yuga, humans are the least evolved, spiritually and intellectually. People are generally only able to comprehend material things, and live lives of ignorance. Will power was very low and most people passively accepted their fate. Most written accounts of ancient knowledge are destroyed. Religion is rigid, dogmatic, and intolerant. Some people do know higher religious teachings, but they have to hide to avoid persecution. I think this describes our times very well.

If we look at the cosmic calendars we can see that right now we are the very time when this great change will happen. We are shifting ages, from darkness to light, to the golden age. This shift can happen in many ways, and sometimes it does involve great catastrophe. I believe we are being given the chance, the opportunity, to allow us to all evolve without a great destruction having to happen. There has been an enormous shift in our consciousness just in the last 50 years, and we are continuing to evolve and liberate our knowledge and ourselves in ways that were never before possible, worldwide.

Satya Yuga

Satya means Truth. In Hinduism and yogic philosophy, Satya Yuga is the first age of the world cycle of ages, or yugas. It is considered the golden age in which humanity is righteous and devoid of wickedness. This is the age of truth, virtue and righteousness; and when everyone practices yoga for spiritual understanding. Following Satya Yuga, humanity descends into progressively less enlightened yugas until the world is purged and the cycles begin anew with Satya Yuga. Most Hindu scholars believe we are currently in the fourth and final Yuga, Kali Yuga.

There is some debate over exactly what dates these yugas will happen, but the time-line indicates that the ascending Kali Yuga, which is the current epoch in which we are living, will end in 2025 CE. The full manifestation of the next Yuga – the Golden Age – will take place in 2325 CE, after a transitional period of 300 years. We are right now in this transition period.

What Does This Mean For You?

It means there will be a HUGE transition, to a better world. It will take around 300 years to complete, which means that your great great grandchildren or thereabouts, may well live in very great times indeed. Maybe you and I won't get to see this new world, but we are big part of creating it, and I believe that it will happen. It is destined to happen, it is inevitable it will happen, like day follows night. We cannot influence or stop the movement of the Sun any more than we can effect our epochs and Yugas.

So when i look at this whole situation with corona, and how it is manifesting, and the effects of it, i find a lot of hope and faith that this is not the silence before the storm, but instead the silence before the great change! Our great cosmic author has written this chapter of change with a very gentle ending. There are many ways our world could have been brought to an abrupt stop. Coronavirus is in many ways a very gentle bringer of change. It is a global crisis, it does have potential to get worse, and yet at the same time it has granted us a chance to look within and change ourselves.

It is said that to realize the Golden Age, transformation must begin with you. When the individual changes, the world will change. This transformation has to take to take place in the minds of men, with the 5 human values as our guide. It is time to awake, do not give in to fear, drama and separation. In the moments of challenge and sorrow how will you behave? Can you master the compassionate detachment that comes with knowing this is an unfolding of the grand cosmic plan?
