Your communities have great topics within them that are worth consideration. Unfortunately, as you can probably tell by the number of upvotes, the people of Steemit are motivated by greed and don't care about improving their lives. Those topics might find a more willing audience on a different platform. Thanks for trying.
Unfortunately, I started realizing this, and even tho the model that steemit operates with has endless opportunities and advantages, people are very short-sighted as they believe steemit is some kind of get-rich-quick scheme

This is true. But not all are motivated by greed. There are many with the writing passion. I think the goal should be building more active users in this community
If you are able to attract more people who are actually interested in reading and writing about these sorts of subjects, that would be great. Publish0x is growing because of its business model, whereas Steemit seems to have stagnated. I was hopeful about Steemit when the new set of witnesses took over, but I see that the corruption has infected them too and nothing has changed from the way it was before. The pre-mine is still being used to feed a select few and lessen the rewards for everyone else by using up most of the reward pool.
