The internet of things is the network of physical devices, vehicles and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators and connectivity which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.
it is more than just a device such as a thermometer or light switch connected to your wi-fi network and this program will go into detail about that.
the internet of things is rapidly and vastly expanding and it is projected that by 2020 the number of devices connected to the internet will be double — at 50 billion — and, as a result, we are seeing advancements in technology such as the ability to control your office temperature from your phone or lock all your doors by sending a text message.
this program will also discuss some of the negative side effects that can come along with this age of technology such as hacking and how it may affect people and businesses and what companies and people can do to protect themselves from this growing concern.
it is predicted that this internet of things will continue to grow and change the way we live and do business, but will raise some ethical issues as well.
How IoT is using nowadays?
the most common uses of the internet of things is in homes and businesses with everyday appliances such as washing machines or smart security systems.
however, the internet of things has also been used in less obvious ways like when an apple pie is made by using a smart pressure cooker which boils water to cook the apples at just the right temperature or when hospitals use smart beds that track patients’ vitals.
the internet is also being used to make the transportation industry more efficient by putting sensors in vehicles to allow for better traffic management, parking availability and improved safety features which even includes car to car communication.
