Speech to text, the AI that writes what you say. To start with, let's leav the technical stuff for another post, and try to explain this with the simplest possible terms.
You want to make a post and you are thinking about the stress of having to type a minimum of 300 words as requested in some communities.

What is AI
Hoping that AI will be the only difficult word I will have to explain on this post. AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. It is that point where a computer is made with the ability to think like a human. Google came up with one of such artificially intelligent system that is capable of listening to what you say and write it down.

With this technology, you simply read or dictate to your device while it writes it for you.

Area of application
This creates ease of access for people with disabilities, making it possible to manipulate the phone by simply saying some key commands or phrases if they have challenges using their hands.

I used it to type this post, I simply had to read it aloud for the phone to get it and it did the writing for me. On this link, you can try this technology online Speech to Text

Can my phone do this?
When you are about to type a message, at the top right corner of your keyboard you should see a microphone icon as in the screenshot bellow. It you have it then your phone has this feature.

What if it's not there?
In some devices you can activate it by following this steps: Settings - Language & keyboard - On-screen keyboard - Google Keyboard - Preferences - turn on voice input

How do I use it?

• Load any text editor
• Click on the microphone icon
• wait for the sound that indicates its active
• once that sound is heard,
• Start speaking.

Will there be any charges ?
Your data must be on during the reading and that is all.

What happens to difficult words?
It is capable of spelling complex words, chemical formulas, locations and so on.

What else?
It is able to learn, and it can adapt to your style. With this I believe meeting the target of 300 or more words in our post will stop being a challenge.
