Massive Plagiarism on Fur-friends: A serious warning to offenders and our stand on the issue.
Introduction
With serious pain in our heart, we are very sad to note that our lovely community for pet lovers is now considered a safe haven for plagiarism. And our recent silence - although unrelated to this issue - seems to suggest that we cared little about original content. We really care so much about making original content and properly attributing copied content to its owners. We are really sad to be associated with this harmful practice and seek to make it clear we do not want to be party with it. We have zero tolerance to it and will never support plagiarism.
Plagiarism is stealing and that is bad enough. The steem blockchain is a proof-of-brain consensus and that promotes the idea of making original content. When one copies the work of others without properly referencing them, it is same as stealing. We can never be party to such actions as they are clear violations of Steemit terms. So by this warning post, we are making it clear that there would be no further room for plagiarists in fur-friends community. We hate plagiarism and that is our stand.
What we have planned to do
We are going to take any necessary actions to clean our community of plagiarized content. The following actions will be necessary in addition to this warning post:
1. We will start to check posts published in this community against plagiarism. We will use various tools at our disposal to check for plagiarized content
2. We will drop a comment below a plagiarized post and tag @steemcurator01 or other big accounts for possible downvotes
3. We will mute posts of plagiarized posts
4. Although everyone is free to make original pet posts, we will appreciate and support authors that make content in line with the type of publications we stipulated here.
5. We will kick out repeat offenders from our community.
What should you do now?
1. Stop Plagiarism immediately:If you have been plagiarizing content in this community, stop it with immediate effect or risk getting serious sanctions - including getting blacklisted.
2. Help us keep on the watch: Everyone can assist with the fight against plagiarism. If you spot plagiarism, alert us immediately by making a comment under our most recent post. There are numerous tools that could be used to check plagiarized content such as Duplichecker
3. Learn about plagiarism: If you are a new user and do not understand what plagiarism is, please study this publication by @cryptokannon.
4. Some posts are no longer allowed in fur-friends: We have seen a recent surge in the number of posts which are too theoretical and easy to plagiarize. Such topics as "10 reasons to own a pet", "6 Species of Dogs", etc have flooded our community. From this moment, we will no longer accept such publications. Fur-friends community is strictly for pet owners, or pet lovers that are willing to share their original experiences living with pets, taking care of pets, or interacting with pets and animals on a personal level. If you made this type of publication in the past, it is no longer allowed in fur-friends community.
5. Take a stand: If you stand with us in this fight against plagiarism, please make a comment below "never to get involved in plagiarism. and a desire to always make original content" We will require new members of our community to do that too.
Conclusion
We sincerely apologize to @steemcurator01 for not properly keeping an eye on content made in our community. We sincerely regret this oversight. We ask for another chance to make things right. We had and still have zero tolerance for plagiarism, but this time around we are supporting our stand with concrete actions as explained above.
If necessary, we will make a post at the end of each week to show how much progress we have made in kicking plagiarism out of our lovely community.

@fur-friends, this step is nice and I think it is helpful. Though I don't know why people still pliagarize even after reading and knowing the rules and regulations of steemit. If you will keep to your words in keeping watch of the community over all contents, the case of plagiarism will be regulated I think.

Plagiarism is bad. It not only steals someone's original work,but dulls the mind of a writer because he/she won't be able to express your inner creative due to plagiarism. It should stop!!!.

I too stand against plagiarism. I support @fur-friends community in this fight. I am a regular publisher in fur-friends. Most times I also source materials and reference them but if in anyway I have made such mistake, it will not repeat itself. I have my pets and I promise to make publications based on my experience with them and to properly reference my work if need be that I make posts that I had to source materials.
Plagiarism is stealing, therefore, I stand against it. Thank you @fur-friends community and the steemit team for alerting us to this urgly trait. I stand for honesty and I will use the various tools available to dictate any plagiarized posts in this community.

As a content creator it is self defeating to partake in plagiarism.
Because one of the core fundamentals of a content creator is originality.
I would never be involved with plagiarism, because my desire is to make original contents always.
