Fur-friends presents: My top 3 favorite pets and why I choose them (Dogs,Parrots and Cats) || by @evegrace

INTRODUCTION
Wow, it is great once again to be a partaker of this community contest once more. Thanks to @fur-friends for their love, I really do appreciate it.

A beautiful and splendid day to all pet lovers and their pets, how are you all doing and how is your pet faring? I hope they are all fine. For those who will love to join this contest, here is the link to the original post

I am so delighted to share with you all about my 3 favorite pets or animals even though I told you guys that I have a phobia for animals but there are some specific pets why I admire them from afar. Anytime I see them walking around or been carried by their owners so do well to walk with me as I take you all down the lane.

Even though I don't have a dog, I have grown to love my friend and neighbor's dog I told us about in my last post and this is because of how much the dog runs around me anytime I come around and won't go until I touch it.

Dogs can be so playful that most times, I wonder if they never get tired of playing. You see them jumping around and trying to get whatever they see you holding anything that they feel is eatable.

I choice dog as my favorite pet because of the playful manner of dog once they get to know you and also realize that you are not a treat to them or to their owners.

Severally, when I go into their compound to visit them, I see the dog running to me and wagging its tail for me to play with it and most days I would have said the dog was smiling seeing me because she knows her play partner has come.

Secondly, dogs serve as safety and security to the owners. Dogs are always sensitive to their environment, they know strangers and never welcome harmed faces around them.

Dogs are always security conscious and never let a strange face into the premises when the owner isn't around. That is why most owners love to set them free any time they are not around the house to keep a watch over the house.

I remember when I wasn't friendly to that dog, any time I come around, she will always bark until her owners come out to check the reasons why she is barking.

Thirdly, Dogs are always submissive and obedient to their owners whenever they do a wrong thing and they are been warned, they obey and stop what they are doing submitting to the authority of their owner.

They stand back when there are asked to stand back and I most times, feel they hate to see their master get angry at them so when they are shouted at, they withdraw.

Inasmuch as I am not the owner of that dog, severally, I have had to shout out the name of the dog when I see her run out of the compound into the road. She will always run back hearing someone call her name and run straight into the compound to her place so she won't be beaten.

BIRDS - PARROTS

Another animal I have always admired is a bird specifically a parrot not for anything but for its beautiful and multi-color nature.

Also for their intelligence and talkative nature. Do you know how you feel to have a pet with who you communicate or who tells you everything that has happened while you were away? They are also known for imitating human voices or someone around them or in their environment they've heard his or her voices over time.

I won't say I have come across one before but I have watched movies, read from books, and have heard from people a lot about parrots. Since then, I have always dreamt of having a parrot as my pet.

CATS

One of the reasons why I love cats or better still the only reason why I love cats is that it drives away rodents from the home like rats, cockroaches, and the rest. I am a victim of getting a scratch from a cat because I wanted to play with it so since then, I have really run away from playing with cats although they are good at pursuing those rodents that won't let our fish and food be at peace.

Cats are quiet, one of the quietest animals I know is the cat. Unlike the dogs who run around making noise and disturbing people, the cat never plays that much, they are always very quiet for a long time except and only there is reason to meow or walk around.

I remember once when I was young, I went to my maternal home and I found out that one of my uncles bought a cat. I noticed that whenever this cat sees any rodent running around, it becomes alert and waits for the best time to get hold of the rodent and devour it. This reduced our having cockroaches and rats running around the house.

CONCLUSION
I am quite sure that with the above reasons, we all know why I love those three pets mentioned above. Thank you for reading through my entry.
