Introduction

Pets are one thing humans who own them cherish so much. They treat them like family and they inturn offer sacrifices families offer.

I remember one time a dog in my compound sometime in 2011 died of poisoning because it was trying to protect his owner.

An unknown person came to the house and the dog perceived bad vibes from the person and refused to allow him in.

How the stranger got through to the dog is still a mystery to us. We all experienced how the dog spent his last few hours in pains, barking at the top of his voice.

Autopsy report showed that, according to the owner who was our neighbor, he died of poison through injection.

Lesson No 1: Dogs are loyal to a fault

Application of Lesson: I gave an introductory story about the dog, Jack, that died while saving it's owner. He went on to do this single act of kindness knowing it can cost his life.

Jack was so loyal till his death and that brings us to us as humans. What extreme measures can we take to prove our loyalty to our family and friends?

A funny meme would quote: The last person that was so loyal to his death died in 1890.

And that's absolutely true no matter how you put it. Such persons don't exist except they were coersed into giving up their lives.

Lesson No 2: Dogs perceive evil from miles away

Application of Lesson: Ever wondered why there are variety of dogs performing different functions all with their own unique characteristics.

That's because dogs were created with very high sense organ. Police dogs are specially designed to detect dangers like bomb, traps, dead bodies etc at the same time offering protection.

As humans we can't even perceive nearby dangers more or less far away ones. We are left with just our intuition to detect dangers and atimes we fail.

Lesson No 3: Dogs are good at keeping secrets

Application of Lesson: It's kind of weird to believe that they're good at keeping secrets even from their owners.

Anyone that poses a threat to it's owner, that dog takes care of the threat all by themselves without involving anyone.

Dogs are excellent listeners and when they hear the cry of their owners they attend to it lovingly.

How many of us as humans can keep a secret? While some of us can, some of us can't. That's why most people would go for domestic dogs as pets that they can confidently confide in.

I have seen that experience too @beckie96830 from comment"I remember one time a dog in my compound sometime in 2011 died of poisoning because it was trying to protect his owner.
