Haha! You know we too well. I indeed did some reading about it last night.(•ิ‿•ิ)
I knew the work that goes behind the word surveying. What got me exited was the way in which it was done. I never knew it was such a highly trained profession.
I also read about the types of surveys which I found very interesting.
I love the following;

    I Knew you would make your research
    Good to hear you find the occupation interesting, yea there are different types of survey, don't be surprised if you read that surveying is carried out under water
