SEC-S10W6 | Teach me to do something with my hands

_{Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I am here to share my participation in the steemit engagement challenge season 10 week 6. This week's contest is interesting & easy for me as I loved to teach some things made with hands. I started stitching a few months ago and now I stitch dresses for my niece, sister, and myself.}

Even though I loved to cook different recipes too but for this contest I think stitching is the best. In this post, I am going to stitch a double frill frock for 1 to 6 months baby. I tried it the first time to sew such a little frock but it turned out so good.

Materials Required

• Fabric in Pink color (2 designs)
• Scissors
• Tailor Chalk
• Inches Tape
• Thread of the same fabric color
• Needle
• Sewing Machine

Stitching Steps

So, here are the steps which we have to follow to make a double frill frock.

• In the first step, we have to take 2 fabrics of different designs in the same color for making a frock. Iron the fabric then cut one fabric into 2 pieces one for making the body of the frock where we have to attach the frills & second for the neckline & shoulders.

• In 2nd step take measurements for shoulder cutting & neckline. I cut the 3 inches length & width of the shoulder (you can increase it according to your baby's health). Cut the rounded shoulders and then cut the neckline which I cut in a round shape as it's easy to wear for kids.

• In 3rd step, I cut the lower body of the frock which is 10 to 12 inches in length & 13 to 14 inches in width. Compare the upper body & lower body of the frock and then start its stitching.

• In 4th step, I cut some small fabrics for the neckline & shoulders. Double-fold the fabric on the neckline & shoulder (if you want to make a sleeveless dress). I put a deep cut (2 inches) on the back side of the upper body of the frock as some babies have big heads so they can wear it easily.

• In step 5, I cut the 4 inches of fabric in length for making frills. I cut the 4 same pieces in the same length & width (16 to 18 inches). I make the slits in 4 fabrics. Then start attacking them on the lower body fabric on 4 inches length gap.

• In step 6, attach the upper body of the frock to the lower body. It looks so good.

• Final step, make a bow of fabric. Take a 4 to 6 inches fabric in length & 2 to 4 inches in width. Then close the clothes from all corners. Make a lot of small knots to tie the bow. Attach the bow in the center of the front of the frill frock & it looks great.

You can also use this as a profession in your life to make it your source of income.
