Throughout human history, diseases have plagued our species and caused a lot of suffering. While modern medicine has made incredible progress and improvement in curing some illness, there are still a lot of dangerous diseases that affect people all over the world today.

If we could magically cure just one disease, which should we choose to save the most lives and relieve the greatest burden on humanity?

If we had the power to eradicate any one disease, which one would you prefer to see go away?

If we could eradicate a single disease from humanity, I would suggest cancer.
This harmful collection of diseases remains one of the world's leading causes of death and human suffering each year.
Cancer mercilessly strikes people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. Its treatments like chemotherapy (the use of chemical to treat cancer) and radiation are extremely difficult to endure.
Seeing a loved one suffering from the harmfulness of cancer is very heartbreaking. While diseases like HIV/AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis are also dangerous illness that have plagued humanity for a very long time, a lot of progress have been made to combat them through prevention, treatment, and educational efforts.
But cancer remains difficult to tackle.

Have you known people who have suffered from that disease?

Sadly, I have had some friends and family members who suffered from cancer over the years. Losing my grandmother to lung cancer after a grueling two-year fight was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life. Seeing her suffer from this disease till she gave up the ghost really traumatized me.
One of my uncles is currently facing a severe brain cancer, although he has been going for regular treatments like chemotherapy and the rest, yet he is still battling with this dreadful disease. No words can describe having to explain the pain of cancer to a little child who innocently asks, "Why is Mommy so sick? or Is she going to get better?" These are memories that stay in your heart forever.
Cancer's dangerous spread is very traumatizing on its victims as well as their loved ones who are in pain.

Do you think the world would be a much better place if that disease did not exist?

There is no doubt that eliminating cancer would make the world a better place for all of humanity. Aside from the alarming numbers of fatalities, this horrific disease also psychologically terrorizes millions of people living under its perpetual threat. No longer having to strictly watch diets and being able to eat whatever type of food we want, would lift a great burden in humanity. We could liberate numerous personnel and resources tied up in cancer screening, protection protocols, and treatment. Most importantly, defeating this dangerous disease would spare our world from an infinte amount of suffering and grief. Cancer is very brutal when it deals with its victim, it attacks both young and old. Terminating and neutralizing cancer's exceedingly harmful effects would be humanity's greatest achievement in reducing widespread pain.

If we could beat cancer, it would be a huge win for humanity. We could stop spending so much time and resources in just trying to stay alive from this terrible disease. Instead, we could focus on making our lives better and also achieving great things. Without the fear and sadness of cancer, we could all be the happy and more hopeful for the future.

Even though curing cancer is really difficult, we can still imagine a future where it's no big deal or even easy to treat. We can beat it by putting money towards medicine, doing more research, and using all our amazing science brains. But for now, all we can do is hope and help those fighting cancer - the people with the disease and their loved ones going through this terrible experience with them. Finding a cure for this awful disease is still one of the most important things humanity can do.

Hi, good morning.

You're actually right my friend, diabetes is really a dangerous disease and it has caused a lot of suffering to humanity, we all have a reason to eradicate disease of our choice because of the things it does to us. I sincerely understand how you felt when you lose your grandma because of lung diabetes, that hurt especially when you're present seeing how she suffered and you can't offer help, I can say it was so heartbreaking but I believe you're now okay right. If I have the people to eradicate disease, I'll probably eradicate a lot of disease so as to keep our world safe. Best of luck.
