Club100 ||Brugmansia Flowers And Other Details || Regards @usmanjutt49 ||
Restriction Brugmansia is native to South America, particularly the Andes, where it grows on steep slopes with hot, humid days and cool nights. It is a long-lived and warm perennial in zone 9. There are many cultivars (not readily available except in specialized nurseries), many of which have been hybridized to produce excellent cultivars.
Brugmansia flowers are highly variable, with individual flowers ranging in size from 4″ to 24″ tall depending on the species/cultivar. There are singles, doubles, triples, and quadruples and some truncated forms, and funnel and trumpet forms. Some crops bloom throughout the growing season, others flower every 6-8 weeks, while some only flower in the cool season. Some flowers produce a lot while others have fewer flowers. Flowering, flower color and flower shape are all affected by light levels, pH levels, nutrients, stress, temperature and humidity, so flowers can vary depending on the location and conditions where they are grown.
In hot weather they need afternoon shade. Container-grown plants will enjoy being outside in the summer but should be brought inside when temperatures start to cool. In the fall, move plants you want indoors before the first frost, checking carefully for pests (you may want to spray the plants later to reduce pest problems). If placed in a greenhouse or other sunny location, they can be treated like houseplants in the winter. They will bloom year-round if they get enough light and temperatures above about 60˚F. Provide a moderate amount of fertilizer and as the day length increases, more flowers will appear.
