Flower Plants With Bell-shaped Petals and Shrub Stems

In this post I want to share about a plant that I found when I visited one of the cafe gardens in Takengon, Central Aceh Regency. In this cafe there are various types of flower plants, including some of them are fruiting plants. They planted this along the road leading to the cafe entering the alley of the path that had plants where on the left and right sides were overgrown with various kinds of flowers and fruit plants.

This is what makes this cafe look more unique and charming and with various kinds of flowers that seem to beautify the path leading to this cafe. From a distance I have seen an orange flowering shrub that looks beautiful, even though I am still about 50 m from the plant. From a distance the color of the leaves is light green and grows branched like a shrub with flowers growing at each end of the stalk.

The leaves are triangular in shape, when viewed from a distance they look like the leaves of the cannabis plant. Meanwhile the flower grows in a round circle and looks like a hanging bell. It turns out that this is an Abutilon flower plant, whose flower color is orange.

Abutilon looks like a fantastic flower plant because it has slender twigs with beautiful bell-shaped flowers. The pollen from this flower looks like it is in the center of the flower petals. Each flower petal grows in a slender circle with a thin size and each petal blends tightly together and overlaps one another.

In one petal there are up to five petals with gradient colors and small lines that look like veins are carved. This flower is face down to the ground, almost all flowers that grow bent down. The branches of plants that grow like shrubs with a slender size seem to support each flower that grows at the end of the stem.

At a young age, the flower petals are shaped and rounded with green petals. In flowers that have bloomed, the green petals appear to be on the flower stalk that covers the flower petals near the end of the stalk. The petals of this flower appear to have a diameter of about 5-8 cm with a circular and circular shape with a broad segment at the end, while the segment below does not appear wide.

The main stem of this plant looks small, about 3 cm and grows up to 160 cm and can even reach up to 200 cm. In the middle when it reaches the age of growth, the stems and begin to branch a lot and grow bushy spreading to every corner with small and slender stems. The branches grow more and more when they are old and have flowers at each end of the branch.

Apparently, the flowers of this plant are favored by bees because they have large pollen and a length of up to 5 cm in the center of the petals. It can also be said that this includes bee vegetal flower plants, where flowers can produce honey. Yes, in this plantation area, honey bees are also cultivated.

From this type of flower plant, it is possible that honey is produced by bees that are kept in captivity. Generally, the flowers of the Abutilon plant have yellow, orange and red colors that have pollen which is of course very useful for producing honey which is absorbed by pet bees. This flower plant also gives the impression of beauty when planted in the garden in the yard.

In addition, this plant also seems to be very suitable to be a fence plant because its stems grow bushy. The flower crown of this plant can grow every day and generally occurs in March to October. This flower plant is suitable for living in tropical climates, including in Indonesia.

In its utilization, this flower is also said to be used for herbal medicines. This flower plant from the Malvaceae family turns out to have a flower color with a bell-like shape and looks beautiful, it also has herbal benefits, including as medicine. Although it looks small and slender with elongated stems growing like a bush, the flowers are beautiful and have benefits.
