Hello sTeeMiaNs

MY DUTIES AS A VETERINARY DOCTOR AND MY FAVORITE FOOD : THURSDAY, DEC 09th 2021

Welcome to see you again on Thursday, follow the Health protocol, stay safe and don't forget to give alms.....!!!

Dear steemians, it's been a few days since I've posted in this community because I'm busy as a veterinarian who works to serve the community in North Aceh district, where I work. Seminars/webinar activities and other activities have drained my time for several days where I have limited content material that is suitable for this community plus the busy schedule of activities that makes me not have time to make posts for several days like my chat in the group Telegram Steemit-Garden Community.

Is that a risk for me as a consequence of my profession as a veterinarian who has the task of serving the community which sometimes does not know time and of course drains my energy and time.

A task that has become a "soul" for me as long as I live where there is a certain satisfaction in being able to help and be useful to many people. Even though sometimes we don't get paid properly, it doesn't really matter to us as veterinarians who uphold the professional oath to serve in the animal health world that we have spoken from the first second we were sworn in as veterinarians. Regardless of the nominal that is paid for the services we provide, what makes us happy is that our existence is recognized by the community and in eastern culture it is a happiness in itself.

Last Wednesday, I went to work as usual and this time I did not go to the office, but I went to the field to review one of the chicken farming businesses owned by a farmer who also happens to be a staff I am in an office that has an independent business that was pioneered some time ago. My staff besides owning a chicken farm, he also sells DOD (Day Old Duck) in the market and has a hobby as a Scooterist. Scooterist is a term for VESPA type motorcycle hobbyists who have a community that often makes activities in the form of tours and other activities. Usually their characteristic is that apart from using a VESPA type motorbike, they also look like "punk kids" and idolize BOB MARLEY with his distinctive dreadlocks style.

This business is a business that has good prospects because after all humans need food and require protein intake from animals, in this case chicken meat. In our area, chicken is a source of protein that is of interest to many people with various dishes or culinary delights. In addition to the delicious taste, consuming meat can meet our nutritional needs so that our bodies carry out their physiological functions.

After reviewing the chicken farm I went home for lunch. I passed the road that I usually take where on the side of the road there are many papaya gardens which is an effort from the community who utilizes unused land that is not used to plant papaya. In addition to papaya, they also grow vegetables that can be consumed or sold to markets or people who pass through the road.

Papaya has many benefits for our body, including:
  1. Launching the Digestive system The benefits obtained from the enzymes contained in it such as papain, chymopapain, caricain, and glycyl endopeptidase. Papain enzymes are at their highest levels when papayas are ripe and these enzymes help digest proteins that enter the body.

The papain enzyme present in papaya softens and revitalizes the skin, while the vitamins A and C present in it can reduce wrinkles and fade dark spots. Vitamin A contained in papaya is good for hair health, where Vitamin A is a nutrient needed for sebum production, which keeps hair moisturized. Vitamin A is also needed for the growth of all body tissues, including skin and hair.

Papaya can be processed in various types of culinary. Besides being eaten as a fruit, in the Acehnese tradition, papaya can also be cooked as a vegetable with traditional spices and added with shrimp or shellfish called "Kuah Ie" or "Kuah Lada", a traditional dish that uses young papaya and cooked with water and spices such as pepper / pepper, salt and small chilies and added small shrimp or clams so that it tastes sweet.

Another culinary is “RUJAK ACEH” which is a traditional culinary that uses various kinds of fruit including papaya which is eaten with special spices such as chili, salt and palm sugar which is very popular because it tastes sweet, spicy, sweet and sour which comes from the fruits that are used. The fruits that are often used are mango, guava, pineapple, yam, cucumber, thatch, melon, apple, papaya and other fruits which are cut into small pieces and mixed in the spices.

Rujak is a favorite food that many people are interested in, so for farmers who grow fruit like papaya it is a promising business opportunity, where in our area there are many ACEH RUJAK sellers who use various fruits including papaya.

When I returned home I also took the time to buy rujak aceh and bring it home because my wife and children really like it.

As always, I read your post with pleasure. How many fruits grow on your land in your country. How do you think this helps your people to be healthy and happy?

Thank you @hive-180821 🙏
there are many fruits grown by people in my country which are adapted to natural conditions and factors that affect the types of fruits that are suitable to be planted in a place, for example in mountainous areas with cold air Of course, fruits such as avocados, strawberries and others will be planted, while in the lowlands with slightly hot weather, fruits such as mangoes, cucumbers, watermelons, bananas and others will be planted. There are many kinds of fruits grown in our area which I cannot name one by one. Papayas and bananas are widely planted because they can easily live and do not require special treatment...it can also be a source of vitamins for our community....

Good post.
