S16-W1 “Our Friend The Egg: Daily Breakfast with Egg"

We all are familiar of omlate with bread and butter in breakfast. But egg was 'bread and butter' for me for sometimes. It was something to do with the poultry where cages for layer as well as parents birds were made of galvanized wire which we used to supply.
I learnt a lot about layer poultry in this connection.
One chick takes about 18 weeks to lay the first egg. During this period it is called a brooder. One bird usually layes one eeg per day afterwards. In the first two years it lays optimum level but it reduces afterwards that is why it is removed from the cage to dish.
Does egg a vegetarian or non vegetarian food. Actually layer hens undergo internal fertilisation. But about 10% of poultry diet contains animal protein so the believe of Hindus considering egg a nonvegitarian food is correct. All Hindus are not vegitarian.
Eggs enhance nutrition and help build muscles leading to a healthier generation. Doctors and experts re-emphasise the importance of this wonder food for children, teens and adults.

I normally have boiled, poached or omlate and only one egg a day. It was followed by the dietitian when I was hospitalized.
Now a days I normally have whole wheat roti with omlate. The omlate is prepared with or without green chilli and without salt on a nonstick pan. The preparation takes about five minutes.
I remember I visited the biggest fair Poultry India in 2010. Here is a small presentation of my visit.

Tampoco sabía que una gallina dura 18 días sacar su primer huevo imagino las ponedoras.
Y tampoco cuántos huevos a la semana puede consumir un adulto un niño o un viejo pues si es por mi esposo se come un cartón semanal el solo.🤦
