Steemit Engagement Challenge S7-W5: Special Utensils From Our Kitchen

Hello Chefs!
Cooking is made easier with the correct kitchen utensils and for the purpose of the contest given in Steemit Engagement Challenge season 7 of Week 5 initiative, I will share my special kitchen utensils and their uses.

I have several kitchen utensils in my home and each of it makes it very easy for me to prepare meals and also contribute to me saving my energy with some food ingredients. The following kitchen utensils are special and I can't go a week without making use of them;

• Blender
• Spatula
• Plates and mug
• Cake mixer
• Jug water heater ( electric kettle).

Blender

Every utensils comes with its own function and the purpose of blender in our home is used to grind semi solid food ingredient (fruits and vegetables) into smooth form.

I mostly use blender for fresh tomatoes and also to blend fruit or nuts for my home made fruit juice. This blender can be used to blend, grind and mix all types of semi solid and liquid ingredients.

Spatula (Wooden and Plastic)

Spatula is one of the kitchen utensil I cherish so much because it makes my cooking and baking process easy. I usually make use of the wooden one while cooking and the plastic one for cake or pancake mixing.

This utensil serves me in different purpose like; spreading, flipping, mixing and scrapping of food ingredients. It is flat and very light to use.

Cake Mixer

Instead of using bowl and hand to mix cake ingredients ( butter, sugar and egg), cake mixer has made that possible when beating egg/butter, stirring and whisking the ingredients.

Plates and Mugs

Plates are of different shapes and sizes and are used in serving foods. Mug is mostly used for hot liquid like; tea or coffee. Both are among my special kitchen utensils.

Electric Kettle

This is a jug-like heater that is used in the kitchen to boil water. As a chef hot water is needed in the kitchen for several purposes and electric kettle serves as one of the easiest utensils in the kitchen to use in getting hot water faster while cooking.

Some of these utensils are gifted while some were purchased years ago.
