Welcome back to my recipe blog where I will be sharing simple, easy to prepare and healthy recipe which is the recipe of PORRIDGE UNRIPE PLANTAIN.

Unripe plantain can also be called; green plantain which is rich in vitamins ( C and B-6), minerals, dietary fibre, antioxidant and nutrients.
Unripe plantain is beneficial to the health and they include;
- It hinders constipation
- It heals stomach ulcer
- Well recommended for pregnant women
- Good for teeth and bone building because of the calcium content in it
- It hinders bladder and kidney disorder
- Good for weight control and diabetes
This food ingredient can be prepared in various ways like in form of porridge, pudding, fried, roasted or pepper soup.
Here's how I made this delicious delicacy ( porridge plantain) with simple ingredients and steps;
Ingredients Used |

- Unripe plantain
- Palm oil
- Periwinkle
- Goat meat
- Maggi
- Salt
- Onions
- Crayfish
- Scent leaf
Preparation Procedures |

Step 1: wash, peel and slice plantain into pieces.

Step 2: add onions, steamed meat and water then set it to cook.

Step 3: taste if it's soft before adding other ingredients (crayfish, salt and maggi).

Step 4: Allow it cook for 5 minutes before pouring periwinkle.

Step 5: Keep cooking for another 5 minutes then add palm oil.

Step 6: lastly, add leaf and cook for just 2 minutes and then your porridge plantain will be ready in no time.
