First and foremost, I would like to thank mam @suboohi for organizing this contest and giving us the opportunity to showcase our creativity. What I particularly like about this contest is that there is no specific topic, and we are free to write whatever comes to our minds. For this purpose, I thought of writing an imaginary story, as I couldn't think of a real one at the moment. So let's get started!

The streets of Lahore were always busy, but unfortunately, people were at risk of danger due to robbery and murder incidents. It caused a lot of fear and distress among the residents as thefts happened daily, and in the past week, two murders took place. Even going out at night was scary for them.

One stormy night, something awful happened during heavy rain and lightning. Akram Shah was a wealthy businessman from Lahore whose name was widely known. He was a decent personality and donated money to different social welfare initiatives. But then, something happened to him that set all of Lahore in an uproar.

That night, Akram Shah had to leave his house for an urgent matter. Coincidentally, his driver was on leave as he had gone to attend a wedding in a village. Therefore, Akram Shah started driving the car himself.

Just a little while later, on a deserted road where no one was around, his car tire burst. He became worried and wondered what to do. He realized the battery had died when he took out his mobile phone. He was cursing his fate when suddenly he saw a white car approaching from afar. The next day, Akram Shah's body was found in a wheat field near a road. Someone had shot him in the head.

Before that night, Lahore police were already searching for a masked murderer involved in several killings. The police had not yet been able to catch the murderer, and now this new case has become a headache for them. However, police were determined to catch the killer. They wanted to apprehend the culprit quickly so that the citizens could breathe a sigh of relief. They increased the pace of their investigations because of media pressure.

The police followed a suspect based on their investigative intuition and filed a case against him. The suspect's name was Saad Ahmed. He had previously met with Akram Shah at a gathering. He had some disagreement with him that had escalated into a physical altercation. The police arrested Saad Ahmed and searched his house for evidence of the murder. Although no other leads were found, a pistol was discovered in his house that had been recently fired, and two bullets were missing. That was a shocking discovery.

Saad Ahmed's case was brought to court, where his lawyer attempted to prove that the police investigation was flawed. However, the court still sentenced Saad Ahmed to death due to some undeniable evidence they found at his house, including a missing pistol with a bullet. The Lahore police and court were able to catch the killer, which gave the city's people new hope, and they felt relieved that at least the police were doing their job.

Saad Ahmed filed an appeal with the Supreme Court, and police restarted their investigation a few weeks later. They started to look at each case again and look for any clues they could find, but nothing was found.

The police in Lahore then got a new clue. Someone who didn't give their name called and told them that Saleem, the real culprit who killed Akram Shah, was still in Lahore. The police started working right away to find Saleem.

The police believed they lacked any proof of a murder and could not apprehend the culprit. However, they carried on with their inquiry.

A new lead was provided to the Lahore police a few days later. The information came from a well-known hotel in Lahore, where they learned that Saleem was in room 202 when Akram Shah was killed. When the cops entered the room, they saw two to three red marks on a chair and a wall. According to the forensic lab, these stains were found to match Akram Shah's blood.

The police were sure that Saleem was suspected of killing Akram Shah. Once more detained, Saleem was the subject of a court proceeding.

Saleem later confessed to the crime after the case against him got to court, and all the evidence was presented against him. He was punished in line with that, for the residents of Lahore, Akram Shah's killer had been apprehended. Saad Ahmed was ultimately found not guilty.

This story shows us that every crime carries a penalty, and Allah always supports the innocent.
