Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game | A Day in Camp by @rossnenye

Hello everyone, good evening and welcome back to my blog. I had quite a stressful day yesterday being the 5th day of July. I woke up around 4.00am in the morning, said my morning prayers, thanking God for the gift of life, family and good health. At 4.15am I went to have my bath and prepared for morning meditation because that is what we have in NYSC (National Youth Service Corps)Timetable.

By 5.00am on the dot, the biggle was sounded and we went to the parade ground for the meditation after that, the soldiers conducted the parade. By 8am, the biggle was sounded for breakfast and we went to the kitchen to get food. After eating, the biggle was sounded again for Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development. The program is organized in order to equip Nigerian Corpers with needed skills to survive in the labour market.

The program usually starts by 9pm and ends on 2pm everyday. The program comes with varieties of skills whereby each Corpers is mandated to chose from. I'm in Bloggers, Website creation and podcast class. The class ended on 2pm and I went back to my hostel. By 3pm we went to have Lunch after which we went to the field for parade. Parade is one of the things that is inevitable in this Orientation Camp. The parade lasted for 1 hour and 30 people were selected to represent my Platoon(Group).

The next activity was football competition between my platoon and another platoon and at the end my platoon won. The football game ended by 7pm. We had dinner from 8pm to 9pm after which we went for social Night. So many fun activities were acted during the social gathering, ranging from cultural dance, singing, drama e.t.c. The Social gathering ended by 9.35pm and we all went to our various hostels. On getting to my hostel, Godswill Akpabio Hostel, I have my bath said my night prayers before going to bed.

I had quite a hectic day yesterday being the 5th day of July but it was worth it.
