Even though Zara and Rehman had never met they shared a special bond. Zara lived next door to Rehman family and had a particular bond with his father who had been blind for thirty years. Zara visits were much loved by Rehman father, who would frequently phone her to inquire as to why she hadn't visited that day. Zara held him in the highest regard and was heartbroken that he had never met his younger son Rehman. During this period Rehman lived with his sister-in-law and heard a lot about Zara from his family.

When they wanted to get in touch with Rehman they would ask Zara to give him a call or send him a text and gradually Rehman and Zara started exchanging occasional messages.Rehman eventually asked Zara to become friends but Zara was insulted because she was from a village where such things were not acceptable. She angrily rejected him and cut off communication but she kept forwarding his father messages. After some time Zara family made the decision to return to their village. Zara struggled to let go of Rehman family even though she was glad to be leaving the city.

Zara sent Rehman a message on the day of their departure apologizing for any prior rudeness and informing him that it was her final message. Heartbroken Rehman initially remained silent. Later that night though Rehman lost control and began phoning and messaging her.Zara informed him that she was unable to speak with any boys because of her family laws. However Rehman begged requesting only the occasional message.

Zara replied and they started talking about everything from veggies to movie names and their conversation grew every day. Even if their chats were silly they valued them because their main desire was to spend time together. Zara began to feel more and more in love with Rehman but she kept her feelings to herself. Already in love with Zara, Rehman was afraid to show her how he felt because of her previous negative response.

It was easier for them to communicate after Zara moved into a hostel for her university studies. Rehman eventually told Zara he loved her one day and how much he had cried. Rehman eventually told Zara how much he had loved her and how much he had burst into tears when he heard she was leaving one day. Zara told Rehman she loved him too more than he could have ever imagined now that she was completely aware of her own emotions.
