Olympic: My View, Myself Wk33

The trending and top story in social media is Olympic, we have been hearing and seeing many activities going on at the moment in paris. This season's Olympic is hosted by our Great Paris, they have already gone miles in providing games which people all over the world are taking part in. We have seen so many errors, Respect moments and also funny moments, it has all contributed to making the Olympics a memorable one.

What do you understand by the word Olympic?

I see Olympics as a collection of games and sports which is hosted to bring people together from around the world. One of the main reasons for hosting the Olympics is to bring people all over the continents, this game has brought many people together irrespective of the race and religion. Its history is dated far back to the early 776 BC, it started in Greece and they hosted many sports, this was later dissolved and brought back later.

The Olympics is often hosted every four years, with varieties of games and sports, like cycling, football, boxing, swimming, races and so on.

Explain any 3 Olympic games.

• Football
  This is a game played during the Olympics, it consists of just 16 football countries from the different continents, the quotas or number of qualifying country varies with continent as Africa is given about 3.5 quota and the fourth place will be decided by a playoff between Africa and Asia. In mens football, Spain came out to be gold medalist after winning France the host country. In the women's Olympics, USA had a shocking win over Brazil women to win the gold medalist in the Olympics.

• Athletics
  This sport consist of many track events, like running, walking, jumping throwing and so on. I love to watch the race games and the name that keeps ringing in my head is Usain Bolt, that guy was extraordinary, he won 8 gold medals breaking his race records, he has featured in 100m sprint races and even relay races and has won most of it.
  He broke his record of 9.69 in his 100m relay races to 9.63, he is super fast. He also set a record of 19.30 in his 200m race. Despite taking part in just 3 Olympics he has gotten 8 gold medals. Other sports like high jump, long jump, discuss and so on are under the athletics.

• Swimming
  We so much loved the swimming game back then, how the swimmers would move so swift in water using different styles and strokes which we were taught in basic school.

Did your country participate in any Olympic game, what are they?

My country, Nigeria has taken part in the Olympics. Tobi Amusan, one of our best hurdle racer took part in the hurdle race in the Olympics. The cyclist which also took part in the Olympics and so on. Nigeria has performed well in their own way, all we have to do is to appreciate their efforts.

Tell us about two games you feel you can participate perfectly in the Olympic.

The first game I could participate so well is Football, I've been playing football for years now and I would say I will perfectly play in the Olympics if given proper pro-training like the other players, it is all about hardwork and consistency, putting in all those work I would do perfectly well in the game.

I would have choose the sprint, but I wouldn't make top 50 if the athletes were that much, it requires a lot of speed and strength and I don't really have that speed, maybe I can go fast if my adrenaline pumps.

Back then in school, I was good with High jump, I would at least try and compete on the jump and I'm sure I'll do great with proper trainings and coaching.

This year's Olympics has been fun with lot of shooting steeze and composure and also funny drama's, we saw headlines of a boxing match which an opponent quitted a match, she said her opponent is a biological male but her childhood photo was later shown and she was a female. She went on to win the gold medal. A case of a Nigerian cyclist also getting a bicycle to use for her race because she didn't have hers, that was so embarrassing but it also shows the love and inter- relationships the Olympic stands for.
