Once upon a time, there lived a rich man in a city. He had a son. His son grew up with a comfortable life with a big house, luxurious cars and rooms full of toys.

Every day he would ask his father for money to spend on unnecessary things, and would always complain to God that God had not given them anything.

The rich man started worrying about his son because this comfortable life was making his son lazy and shirking. Whenever he would ask his son to do some work or work hard, his son would always say to him, Papa, we are not poor, we are rich and only poor people work and work hard. And I hate poor people.

The rich man would always try hard to make his son understand.
He would tell his son that only a poor man becomes rich by working hard and there is nothing like a poor or a rich and as far as happiness is concerned, God has given more happiness to the poor. And has also made the poor stronger but his son was not ready to listen to even a single word of his father.

When his son did not listen to his father even after a lot of persuasion, the rich man took his son to a village to teach him a lesson and to save his future so that he could also see the life of the poor. The rich man first took his son to a poor family who lived in a small house without light, water, washroom.

The rich man's son asked the poor family "How can you live in such conditions ?" The poor family said to him, "We do not have money. But we are rich. Because we have God's blessings."

After that the rich man took his son to show the river of the village. The rich man's son saw that he gets clean tap water for drinking, bathing and swimming in his house 24 hours a day and the people here make do with a river for all their cleaning, washing and drinking etc.

Then at night he reached a small house to spend his night. The boy could not sleep without a bed and fan.

The rich man and his son were disturbed by strange noises coming from outside. The boy got up and followed the noise and found a group of boys happily playing around them.

The rich man's son was fascinated to see them. He thought he had every toy in the world but he did not have the happiness and joy that those boys had.

The next day the rich man and his son were feeling very hungry so the rich man took his son to a poor farmer's house for lunch. There was not much to eat at his house. The farmer served them a meal of roti with onions.

The rich man was watching his son as his son ate the onions and roti with great relish. He found the onions and roti very tasty.

The rich man whispered in his son's ear, "How can you eat this? You eat fast food and many kinds of dishes in a silver plate". But the rich man's son said to his father that father, I have now come to know that "the real taste of food and a good sleep at night always comes only after hard work".

We have luxurious houses, swimming pools and AC for cool air but God has given the poor a whole river, has given large fields and forests for children to play which make them strong along with real happiness. They have little to eat, so that little food also has a lot of taste and fun.

Hearing all this, there was a smile on the face of the rich man because now his son has come to know the real happiness and the benefits of hard work.

Now the rich man said to his son that we have everything, still we complain and they have nothing, still they are very happy.
