However, there is still a gender gap in the workforce. Women get paid less often than males for doing the same work, and they make up a smaller percentage of the top ranks.To defend the rights of women, Bangladesh has passed a number of laws. The Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act is one example. Nevertheless, these laws' application and enforcement are frequently ineffectual. This keeps women the targets of abuse and discrimination.Both rural and urban society in our nation is becoming more conscious of gender equality. But frequently, outdated social mores and biases are putting barriers in the path of women's equality and independence.
