Power of communication is the real power of current century. Communication made this world a global village and English as an international language helping us communicate with our foreign friends. The powerful impact of communication in our life is huge.
When I find this topic for discussion I was very excited and a lot of things came to my mind that communication made possible. Technology is the main tool of communication in today's world. After realizing the power of communication, tech experts discover the television media, social media and many more medias that help us to stay connected.
Do you agree with the statement "Communication skill is the power"? Why or why not?
Yes I completely agree that communication skill is the power and there are many reason behind this. Say a businessman need to expand his business and he definitely need to communicate with his buyers. A powerful communication can make a business successful, communication can solve problems or issues.
Can you provide an example of situation where "Communication skill is the power"?
The more you have communication skill, the more you have chances to be successful but any kind of skill needs time to adopt and communication skill also needs time.
Let me share one more example, when a person is in politics and need support of public, what he will do that public will support him? A proper communication with public can help the politician to be elected in election and here a candidate should have the communication skill to win.
Some historical examples where "Communication skill is the power" led to significant change?
With the time we become smarter with the help of technology. In the past our people wrote letter and next they start communicating using email and now chatting apps which is available for common people almost all around the world.
There are many significant changes we can see, newspaper is now available in web, days of button phones gone and we are using smartphones, it's became possible because we had need of these for borderless communication.
How can one improve their communication skills?
Practice makes us perfect so here we also need to practice more to improve the skills of communication. The way I made my communication skill developed it was making conversation with foreign buyers in freelancing marketplaces and that was my way.
Personally I recommend my people to do job in call centre where there expert trainers will train us on communication and this will definitely help having development. Beside this practicing in front of the mirror with short script can help too. Find a communication partner who can speak English fluently and practice with you will help you improving communication skill.

Hi @shohana1, it is interesting how undervalued this skills communication skill, I actually never thought about that when I was young but nowadays seeing many seminars that promise to teach you that and promise success I realise that it is true many need such little guide in order to be successful.
I think such skills needed to be taught in school so that young people after graduation would be ready to be a part of the world of adults without much help :)

I agree that communication skills hide some of our drawbacks. I have seen people with better communication skills reach to the top where as the people with better qualifications are left behind because they can't properly express themselves.
