Assalamu Alaikum my friends. Today I'm in the Hindwhale community for "Steemit Engagement Challenge / S19/W1 - "SEC-S19 / W1 | I am publishing my entry in the competition organized under the title "Power of communication skill". Communication is an important medium in our daily life through which we can exchange thoughts with each other. But to make this communication useful we must acquire skills. And this skill will one day become the strength of our daily communication.

Do you agree with the statement "Communication skill is the power"? Why or why not?

I totally agree with the saying that communication skills are power. Because through communication skills we connect with each other. What I can call the skill of establishing relationships. I can also consider this as a strategy of information sharing.

How accurately and attractively we can talk to others is the technique known as communication skills. It is necessary to be able to express one's ideas, judgments and feelings. And it is this communication skill that acts as our strength in sharing information with each other.

Can you provide an example of situation where "Communication skill is the power"?

I am a professional, having communication skills is a very important part of career. Communication skills are not only about what I want to say, but also about listening carefully to what others are saying. And communication skills are considered as an important and effective skill to build your own career.

If I give an example from my point of view, I would say communication is the first step in building mutual trust in the workplace. And to build trust among colleagues and build positive relationships with everyone, communication skills are essential. Today I am established in my workplace because I have been establishing good communication with all the employees of various organizations, committees and departments since 08 years in my workplace.

My communication skills have played a huge role in achieving my success. A few days back I received National Integrity Award for my overall performance. The eligibility criteria for the award included communication skills for which I was conferred with this prestigious award. This is my great example that proves my communication skills.

Some historical examples where "Communication skill is the power" led to significant change?

A notable historical example of "Communication skill is power" is the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. Although the communication system was not generally developed at that time, the communication skills of the country leaders during the liberation war of Bangladesh got the title of independence today.

At that time, the leaders of the country used radio as a weapon to energize the common people of the country in the war. At that time, the despondent people of the country used to preach various war songs and patriotic songs to stand tough against the enemy.

Also, to raise the morale of the freedom fighters in the war of independence, to inform them of the country's situation through radio, which played a leading role in the communication system of that time.

And this is how Bangladesh gained independence one day. Therefore, it can be said that radio has played a very effective role in the history of Bangladesh as a communication force.

How can one improve their communication skills ?

A person needs to have communication skills in both personal and professional fields. Because it will increase our ability to express ourselves with confidence and transparency. Able to achieve one's life goals by creating a strong connection with others. So in any situation we need to know about different ways to enrich ourselves in communication skills. which I have presented below:

• First of all improve the ability to observe and listen : The first condition to improve communication skills is to acquire the ability to observe and listen to other peoples voice, expressions and body language. So during communication you should give the other person a chance to speak and listen carefully to what he is saying.

• Speech should be clear : If we need to speak in order to be effective in communication, it is important to speak slowly and pronounce each word correctly. Because ambiguity in speaking can lead to communication disruptions.

• Making eye contact : Eye contact is an important part of communication. If we are not able to make eye contact with the other person during communication then we lose focus in communication.

• Exclusion of irrelevant words : An important aspect of communication is to exclude irrelevant words in discussion. If there is too much irrelevant talk in the communication, the communication will not be engaging and understandable.

• Maintaining Correct Gestures : If our facial language and gestures convey different meanings, our communication can fail. Like I am listening to the other person but my gaze is on the other side. That means I'm getting careless in communication. Therefore, to improve communication skills, you must maintain proper gestures while speaking.
