The topic for the contest is "Story behind my country flag". I will give you a very brief and detail information about the story behind my country flag. Let's start our business without wasting any time.

Flag is a sign of identity of a nation.Each country has it own separate flag, so you can identify every country by seeing it's flag.My country also have a sperate flag as a sign of identity. The story behind it is quite amazing and interesting. This flag was first made by "Ameer-ud-Din Khidwai" in 1947.

Our country flag has various symbols in it, which give a quite mature meaning.
First the green color in shows the Muslim majority of the country. It shows it's an Islamic country. The white stripe on the left is for the non Muslim minorities. The crescent moon and a star are an Islamic symbols. They show the progress and prosperity of a nation.The moon is also a sign of peace. The star shows the light of wisdom, and it's five points relates the five obligatory of Islam ( Kalma, Namaz, Rozah, Hajj, Zakat). This is a thorough explaination of the meanings hidden inside the symbols used in Pakistani flag.

Let me tell you about an incident that happened when I was in school. I was a student of class nine at that time. We have a long iron pole for the flag at our school. One day it was a morning time. A teacher told me and my friend to raise the flag on that iron pole. That Pole always has a rope and we raised the flag with the help of it. It's a very common way through out the world of raising flag. We were doing and suddenly the rop fall down from the top. Now one of us have to climb the pole to put the rop in the ring at the top of the pole. either me or him. I decided to climb it. It was approximately 30 to 35 feet tall. I started climbing, the rope is in my mouth. I still remember when I reached the top my friend shouted me, go put the rope inside and I can't look down at him. My heart is beating harder and harder. The soon I put the rope inside, I looked down and I was shocked I climbed that high. I start coming down slowly and when I reached the ground I didn't believe I have climbed that high iron pole. I was too happy and telling all my friends with great pride and joy.So it's quite an amazing experience of mine with my country flag at school time.
