What are the benefits of social media to our society? |

Social Media is the several online platforms serving different functions most especially connecting people all over the world.
There are several benefits the social media has brought to us they includes;
Social media has been able to help us learn new things or things we didn't have full knowledge of. For instance you could learn how to make some dishes you are not familiar with on YouTube. Guess what I learnt how to make shawarma on YouTube.
On social media you could do business with people you have never seen before at low cost. Imagine booking a flight to travel down to Dubai for a business? You spend on accommodations, feeding, transportation around and so on. But now just seating at your home you can get it done.
Social media is a great amplifier of creativity of people. A large number of people can see how creative you are through the social media. There are many talents that have been exposed on social media for example in my country, there are many comedians that has been known on social media for their talents. Some are known for their dance steps or cooking.
On social media you can get information like current news and happenings. Do you know that the person that introduced who invited to steemit got to know about steemit through Facebook? Imagine if he didn't get that information, I won't be here today.
Social media is serving as a source of income to many people because people can now advertise their products and sell. You can even post your contents and get paid for it. Look at steemit for example, it's a social media that has influenced me financially Greatly.

Just like social media has brought so many benefits to us, it has also caused some evil to us human. They include;
A medium to show off fake life or extra vagant lifestyle. There are many people who use the social media just to show off what dey eat, wear or do. They make you feel if your life is not like like theirs, that you have failed.
Many people have been scammed on social media. Two years back a friend on my saw a business advert on social media and applied for it. She was told to pay some money and the goods will be sent to her door step. After paying the money, she was blocked.
There are people who have been abused and exposed to bully through the social Media.
The social media has been used as a platform to device evil practices such as the transfer of fake information.
Is social media really useful for common people or corporate companies? |

Yes in my opinion, I think the social media has been really helpful to people and corporate companies.
Business and product advert are now done on social media. Even promotions and showcase of skills by personal and corporate companies are done on social media.
Gone are the days where these companies only use newspapers, radio or television, technology has also moved them to explore the social media.

Social media is a broad sphere and we can take advantages of it's many benefits to make our lives and business better.
But we must be careful not to expose little kids to it or rather we should not expose kids to it without supervision.
I know a social media influencer who has made so much impact of social media, infact she has also has made so much money. This is too show you the power of social media.
I also want to say we should also not be deceived on social media because there are many false or fake people there who are are out to use other people.
Not every thing you see on social media is real so be careful. Recently a friend drove his wife out of his house because of what he saw on social media.
Rather than focus on the bad or negative side of social media, maximize it for good. Do not join those who use it negatively because it will surely have consequences.
Also avoid getting addicted to the social media. Because it will become a time waster to you and automatically become in control of your life.

A function of keeping us in communication with friends throughout the world with family and as well as knowing the news that happens, among its advantages or benefits it facilitates better learning, making any business known among other things.
The disadvantages are several, many use this method to scam people or impersonate others, something that has become very common, as well as deceiving people and being abused, one of the things about which we must be as careful as possible.

right as you say, recognizing the huge potential of social media in improving lives and businesses, but also stressing the importance of monitoring children's use. The power of social media can be seen from the examples of successful influencers, but we must be wary of fake content and not fall into addiction.
