Week 5 is here with a very interesting topic to write about. Imagine if I was born those days when people walked naked hahah!
If you lived in both generations, like the 90s and 2k which one did you like the most |

I would prefer the 90s. I lived in the '90s and experienced a lot of things back then. The dressings in the 90s were so cool and elegant even in the 2k life today, they still try to get back those dresses like schools celebrating old school days where students dressed in the old fashion wear and looked so adorable.
In the 90s the food was cooked well. I remember one day my mom cooked for a very long time my siblings and I got angry and slept off, when we woke up, my mom started telling us the importance of cooking your meals well.
In the 90s we enjoyed fruits and vegetables that has no fertilizers like in this 2k life. What we have then were all local meals that were good for our health. I like the life in the 90s to that of
2k .
Infact, we didn't spend so much feeding because we had fruit trees and vegetables planted everywhere around us and our food was even prepared locally with fire wood. There was no need for buying cooking gas which is now very expensive in this 2k life.
Life was simply, less complicated and people loved genuinely not like what we have now.
How is school life now, and what was it like in the nineties? |

School life in the 90s was sweet. I remember my teacher asking me to control a class of about 20 because she was going out. I would quietly pick up a book and a pencil to write the names of noise makers and then I would not write my friends in the list hahaha.
In the 90s we had interesting novels, storybooks, and other interesting books to read. Now, which is the 2k, schools no longer promote novels, they deal with what they can teach the children and then sends them home with bulky assignments and internet home work.
School life in the nineties was very competitive in the positive. Students were challenged to pass exams and test by their fellow students. Success in school was purely based on merits But what we have now is the opposite. Students are no longer challenged to read their books, success is not even based on merits in most schools in the countries especially Nigeria.
School life was fun in the nineties, there were games and plays done by students. School was all variety but now the school has lost its fun, most students are even afraid of going to school.

The entertainment in the 90s was breathtaking. It was educative and informative. There was this TV series I watched back then called Barney and Friends, my mom never allowed us to miss this series because it was so educative and seriously we learned so much from it.
In the 2k life, they feed on the internet to be entertained. But then there was nothing like the Internet, it was all on the TV and you watched with your parents, there was nothing to, hide, unlike the 2k life.
The music sang and played in the nineties made more sense, and the songs were inspirational and there was modesty with the musicians in terms of words used and dressing, unlike what we have now in the 2k. Most music are now void of good meaning. No longer modesty in dressing. The other time I saw a dance in a music video almost naked dancing. You can't see it in the music of the nineties.

I think the 90s had a more organized and simple way of doing sports. I played a lot of games back then and now, I no longer see children play such games.
I played games with friends on the street, and in school during break time, but now, the internet has taken over everything. 2k life seems boring to me because the students sit in the classroom even during break time. They don't play games or sports and that makes it a boring life.
There were local or traditional games that we were taught by our parents to play. There were games like ten ten for ladies and games where you hit hangs with a game partner while you sing. But in the 2k we no longer have such games or see children playing it. Parents are not even interested in teaching their children anymore.

My friend you were really practical and detailed in your article. I really understand you when you said you loved the 90s life. Indeed cooking food from your natural farm was more sweeter than those we see today, food bred with fertilizer. I'm glad you played sports and games too today children don't come out during the break period. They are always in class and this has made the 2k life more boring. Your mum really meant the best when she cooked till late nights. She wants to give u guys the best.

Another difference is the growing health consciousness of Nigerians, with many people choosing to avoid sugary treats in favor of healthier options...

Hace un tiempo leí que, en los 90's a escala mundial se registró una gran demanda de frutos en los árboles y, eso era originado porque había la cultura de plantarlos y darle la oportunidad a los niños que crecieran en contacto con la naturaleza.
Es muy entrañable todo esto y, fíjate que en esa década incluso en un árbol veíamos un columpio jajajaja.

This 2k generation life style is really getting out of hand. The worst of it all is the educational system area most of them that called their self graduate can even spell their names correctly not to talk about the o level graduate.
Only God will save this digital generation.
