Once again, I come to you to participate in this amazing topic of the first week of the Steemit Engagement Challenge. Through today's challenge, I will share with you about Perhaps if man had not invented fire, what would this earth have looked like?

If man had not invented fire then we would have faced many problems. Before the discovery of fire, primitive people ate raw meat or dried it in the sun. Moreover, the people of those days used to protect themselves from wild animals and sheltered from winter with the help of fire.

If we notice one thing, we can understand that other animals can neither extinguish fire nor rekindle it. That means people needed fire to survive in those times because there were many ferocious animals. It is true that if fire had not been invented then we might have had to adopt some other method of survival. And when we feel the need for something, we invent something new as a solution.

How do you think man discovered fire?

---

It was impossible for primitive people to cook food without fire for which they needed something with which they could do their cooking well. Secondly, at that time people had to protect themselves from violent animals. I have learned from various books that primitive people invented fire by rubbing wood with dry wood and stone with stone. I belive primitive people found fire to be the most useful for their survival, which led to the discovery of fire.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of fire?

As much as fire can benefit us, it can also harm us if we do not use it carefully.

With the help of fire we can cook our daily food, we can protect ourselves from the cold in winter, with the help of it we can purify water by boiling it. Besides that, fire is used in many cases as light and for clearing crop land. Moreover, fire is used in many needs of our daily life.

The disadvantage of fire is that it can burn many things. If we are not careful in using fire it can be very dangerous and destructive for us. It can burn many things to ashes in an instant. As such, it can also take the lives of humans and animals. It pollutes the air, which has negative effects on the environment and human health.

Is fire essential for us or not?

Fire is very important for us. We use fire in many of our activities and even there are many things which are not possible without fire. Fire is needed especially for cooking anywhere, be it at home or in a restaurant. No matter how much we use electric stoves, fire is needed when camping or barbecuing. We can use fire for light at night just as we used to use candles when the electricity went out. Moreover, there are many other reasons where the use of fire is very important.

How should we handle fire for a safe environment?

Fire is one thing that can create havoc if not handled properly. So we must be careful in using fire. Gas cylinders used for cooking at home should be handled with great care. Care should be taken to see if the gas cylinder is expired and the stove used for cooking is working properly.

Danger can come at any time so we have to prepare in advance. Fire extinguishers must be kept and everyone must be aware of the proper way to use them. When we use fire in an open place outside, it should be extinguished well after use. Because most of the accidents happen due to not properly extinguishing the fire after use. Hopefully by following these rules we can handle the fire for a safe environment.
