Hi there steemians I'm so happy to welcome you all to my blog first of all how are you all doing I hope all is well and you are all enjoying your day, today I will be participating in the HWC contest organize by @hindwhale with the theme "POWERUP AND WIN STEEMS WEEK"

INTRODUCTION

---

In my today's entry I will be sharing with you guys my wallet steem power before and after power up and also share with you guys the importance of doing power ups as a steemian

---

As steemians we all know how important it is to always engage in doing power ups so below I will be showing you all a screenshot of my account before powering up my liquid steem of which I'm going to classify it into steps

STEP 1

Here as you can see in the above picture it's a screenshot of my steem account before powering up and my steem power was 1,546 SP

STEP 2

Here in this step I opened my steem wallet and as you can see I had 263 steem available in my wallet, and since I'm currently in club100 I had to power up all of it which I'm going to guide you all through the steps.

Still in this step before being able to power up my steem first of all I had to log into my account with my active keys in other to be able to perform a power up

STEP 3

So after I'd log into my steem wallet with my active keys I was then allowed and given many options of what to do with my steem, as you can see in the above screenshot we have Transfer, transfer to savings, power up, trade & market.

So since my intention was to power up my steem tokens so I clicked on the power up option that is being provided in the option list as you can see in the above screenshot

STEP 4

In this step after I might have finished clicking on the power up option which was being provided in the option list I was then redirected to another page which you can see in the above screenshot

In this page I was to enter the total amount of steem token that I wish to power up, and since my intention was to power up everything so I clicked on the balance which means all my steem. After clicking on the balance and all my steem tokens where entered in the amount section then I went ahead to click on power up.

STEP 5

Here in this step being the last step and after entering the amount I wished to power up and after clicking on the power up button I was then redirected to another page that was titled "CONFIRM TRANSFER TO VESTING" And in other to confirm the process I clicked on "OK" and congratulations 🎉 to me I have successfully powered up 263 STEEM.

As you can see in the above screenshot after powering up my steem tokens you can see that my steem power has upgraded from what it was before to being 1,780 SP.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PERFORMING POWERUP'S

---

As steemians it is very important for us to always engage in powering up our steem tokens which in turn doesn't only favour the steemit platform rather it also serves great benefits to us steemians which I'm going to explain

---

You know as steemians it you have a total of 1000 steem power and a total of your monthly earnings here on steemit sum up to 100 steem per month which is just an example, from there you can imagine if you had a total of 10k steem power you can imagine how much you could be earning in a month

---

Also performing power ups doesn't only favour us rather it also helps in maintaining the steem ecosystem and also helps in stabilising steem price thereby avoiding excessive fall in price

So from there you can see how important it is for we steemians to always engage in powering up our steem tokens cause it helps maintain our club status and also helps in growing our reputation here on the steemit platform

CONCLUSION

This will be the end of my entry and I'm very happy that I've earned such amount of steem tokens and I'm also very happy for powering them up because it will help me to reach my target for this year faster which was reaching 5k steem power
