What are the benefits of social media to our society?

Man is a social creature and to live in society he must maintain contact with everyone in society. The importance of social media for maintaining social communication cannot be explained in one sentence. If I am asked about the benefits of social media then I would like to start by saying that you should think how weak our communication system is without social media. There was a time when people could not give each other the information they needed. But through social media nowadays one's news can be conveyed very quickly to the organization.

One of the biggest benefits of social media is that it helps develop an extreme networking system. If we communicate well with each other, we can find different jobs very quickly. In today's age of technology, I think most people have managed their employment through social media. Finally I can say in the current context of my country social media has increased the average annual per capita income of Bangladesh many times.

Social media has made us more social. The biggest contribution of social media is that it has made communication with each other easier. Social media has brought distance to near. So I think social media has increased the bond between people in the society.

What are the evils caused by social media in our society?

This is undoubtedly a very important question. Social media has many advantages as well as disadvantages. We all know two sides of a coin. In addition to the benefits of social media, it has some serious disadvantages for our society. Below I present to you the positive side behind social media.

• Social media has disrupted people's privacy a lot. For example, we are often victims of cyber bullying through social media. Many people have decided to commit suicide due to cyber bullying.
• Apart from the fact that we can easily communicate with each other through social media, we also get a lot of entertainment content videos that consume a lot of our time. Not only by watching videos but also by creating them, many people ruin their future.

Of course it is very important for both general public and corporate companies. I have discussed the benefits of social media for common people in the above section. Now I will share with you how corporate companies benefit from social media. Social media is a platform to network with people around the world. So multinational companies use this platform to reach their offers to the people very easily. By easily informing people about your products and projects, you get a huge publicity. Also, if they need a candidate for a job, they can select that candidate through many and make an appointment through social media. By doing this, both time and trouble are reduced a lot. So it can be said that companies benefit through social media

As my personal opinion or conclusion, I would like to say about social media, you must use social media maturely. Anything in excess is destructive for us. New enemies emerge just as we find old closures through social media. So I would say use social media in such a way that you don't cause harm to anyone and use it in such a way that no one can harm you. In short, controlled use of social media is a blessing for us.
