Tell us how your favourite subject made learning effortless for you

My favorite subject when I was in high school was mathematics and this preference reflected a deep passion for this field. Mathematics was more than just a school subject for me it represented a fascinating world of puzzles to solve and abstract concepts to explore.

What particularly attracted me to mathematics was its relentless logic. Each problem posed was an exciting intellectual challenge requiring a methodical approach to find the solution. Solving equations, proving theorems and manipulating complex mathematical concepts were all intellectually satisfying.

Furthermore, mathematics was a subject where effort and regular practice paid off. As I mastered new concepts I felt great pride and increased confidence in my abilities. It was a subject that encouraged me to persevere and take on ever greater challenges.

Mathematics had this unique ability to be both abstract and applicable in the real world. They were present in many fields from science to technology to economics and offered powerful tools for understanding and solving real-world problems.

In short, mathematics was much more than just a school subject for me. They embodied passion, relentless logic, intellectual challenge and an open door to vast horizons of knowledge. It was my favorite subject in high school, and it continues to inspire me and fuel my mathematical curiosity.

Did you always manage to get good marks in your favorite subjects or did you face any hardship at any particular time

My academic career was punctuated by subjects that I deeply cherished, such as mathematics, physics, and english. I have always had a penchant for these disciplines and this was reflected in my academic results. Getting good grades in my favorite subjects was not only a goal but also a source of personal satisfaction. This was no accident but the result of my dedication to learning and understanding these subjects in depth.

When I studied these subjects I felt a natural connection which made it easier to assimilate concepts and solve problems. I realized that my passion for these subjects pushed me to explore deeper and go beyond academic expectations. I didn't hesitate to ask questions, seek out additional information and actively engage in class discussions.

This proactive approach to learning has helped me broaden my horizons and gain a more holistic understanding of these subjects. Even when challenges arose such as more complex subjects or rigorous exams, my passion served as a driving force for me to persevere and overcome these obstacles.

My favorite subjects have been a constant source of motivation and fulfillment throughout my educational journey. They taught me that when you follow your passion learning becomes a rewarding adventure where each success strengthens your determination to go even further.

Are there any other subject that you like too

In addition to mathematics, two other subjects that have captured my interest throughout my academic career are physical sciences and English. Each of these subjects brought its own dimension to my educational experience and allowed me to gain valuable skills and perspectives.

The physical sciences have opened the door to a fascinating world of discovery and experimentation. I have always been intrigued by how the laws of physics govern real-world phenomena, from the movements of the planets to the invisible forces around us. Studying physics allowed me to better understand the nature and mechanisms that govern our universe. I enjoyed laboratory experiments, solving complex problems, and how physics can explain seemingly mysterious phenomena.

English, on the other hand, has been a window to the world. Mastering this language opened the doors to literature, culture and communication on a global scale. I found immense pleasure in exploring literary works in English, watching films and series, and communicating with people from different cultures. English has become a powerful tool to broaden my horizons, facilitate international exchanges and access global resources.

These subjects enriched my training significantly. They taught me to think analytically, solve problems, appreciate the beauty of science, and communicate effectively. My love for mathematics, physical sciences and English has endured over the years, and these subjects continue to influence my quest for knowledge and my passion for learning.

Do you help children or siblings in their favorite subject?

The help I provide to my son in mathematics is a natural continuation of my own passion for this subject. I have always been fascinated by mathematical concepts and by helping my son understand them I can share this fascination with him.

When I help him with his math homework, I strive to create a positive learning environment. I make sure he feels comfortable asking questions, discussing concerns and exploring topics in depth. My goal is not only to help him solve math problems but also to teach him critical thinking and problem solving.

By sharing my own enthusiasm for mathematics, I hope to stimulate his interest and curiosity. I show him that mathematics is not just a school subject but that it is present in many aspects of daily life from finance to science. I explain to him how mathematics is a powerful tool for understanding the world around us.

Always I encourage my son to develop his self-confidence in mathematics. I remind him that mistakes are learning opportunities and that perseverance is essential to mastering this demanding subject. By helping him build a solid foundation in mathematics, I am giving him the tools he needs to succeed in his studies and in life in general.

Finally is there any role of your favorite subject in your present day life.

As a computer science educator, I continue to appreciate the value of the mathematical skills I learned throughout my education. Mathematics and computer science share a close relationship based on logic and analysis which makes mathematical skills a valuable asset in my field.

The mathematical concepts I have developed prove invaluable in solving complex algorithmic problems. Discrete mathematics, linear algebra and graph theory are all examples of mathematical fields that find direct application in computer science. These concepts help me analyze and optimize algorithms, design robust databases and strengthen IT security.

But beyond the direct application of mathematics it also gave me a critical analytical perspective. The rigor and structured thinking I developed through mathematics proves extremely beneficial when solving computer problems. This is particularly evident in algorithm analysis, bug finding and code optimization.

Additionally, mathematical skills play a vital role in the field of data analysis. The ability to understand and interpret data, acquired through statistical and probabilistic skills, proves crucial for fields such as data analysis, machine learning and data science in general.

Thus, my mathematical skills continue to provide me with a solid foundation for approaching computational challenges. This combination of the two fields strengthens my ability to innovate, solve complex problems and remain competitive in the ever-changing field of IT. I am grateful to have acquired these mathematical skills throughout my education, as they remain an essential asset in my career as a computer science teacher.

I just had to visit your post. Maths!!
I could have guessed this one.

Unfortunately, numbers are not my strong point. In fact, when I have to do bookkeeping every month, it is like a mountain I have to climb. I've learned very quickly not to look for that 1c but rather to allocate it against financial costs.

As for my stepson, all I say to him when it comes to maths is, "Pass." (•ิ‿•ิ)

Your two boys are so lucky that they have you to help them.

Good luck with the contest!

Congratulations!

Mathematics is a lesson that is like a puzzle. When you know how to solve each math problem it is very easy, but if you don't know the formula to solve it then for some people this math will be very difficult :)

Absolutely! Mathematics is like solving puzzles; it's easy when you know the formulas, but can be challenging without them.

Hola amigo
