A Day in the Village: Nature Walks, Orchards, and Simple Chores
Greetings, dear friends. How are you all? I hope you are doing well and enjoying your day. I wish you all good health, prosperity, and success in the days ahead. Today, I’m here to share another day of my life with you, and I hope you find time to read it and that you find it worth your while.
Early in the morning, the chirping of birds at my open window acted as a natural alarm, helping me wake up. I immediately went to offer the morning prayers at the nearby mosque. It’s part of my daily routine to start my day by offering prayers, and after completing my supplications, I left for a walk around the outskirts of the village, which is mainly surrounded by apple orchards.
These days, walking towards the orchards is a pleasure, as the ripe apples have filled the air with their sweet aroma. It’s such a great feeling to walk on the moist green grass, breathing in the fresh air. The hillside of the village also offers a challenging terrain, which is perfect for burning some calories. Being health-conscious, I usually try to stay active by walking around the village and helping with tasks at home.
Today was a day off from the office since we had successfully conducted the elections smoothly and fairly. Having sent the election-related paperwork to the district election office, the returning officers and staff were relieved, with no major tasks to handle until the eighth of next month.
This gave me the chance to visit the orchard located east of the village. Upon reaching, I was surprised to find a new type of insect making its home on the apple trees. It intrigued me, so I quickly returned home to grab some pesticide and sprayed it to ensure the trees and crops remained safe.
After finishing that task, I went to the kitchen garden to help my mom. I was happy to see the pumpkins had grown big. They will be a good source of food during the harsh winter, which is just around the corner.
Once my outdoor tasks were done, I returned home to check on the walnuts drying in the backyard. I have to be vigilant about scaring away the birds, which can pose a major threat. If left unchecked, they would eat all the walnuts.
Later in the day, I had some time to go through a few chapters of environmental science, one of my favorite subjects. I have a deep interest in understanding nature, its resilience, and the damage it has endured due to human activities. I’m always eager to learn more about how we can help our planet recover from this harm.
That’s all about my day (26-09-2024). Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Have a wonderful day ahead.
