Greetings to all my friends taking part in this engagement challenge. It is a beautiful day, and I'm glad to bring you my imagination of how the world would have been without fire.

I'm trying hard to imagine how this world would be without fire, but it is becoming unimaginable. Nevertheless, I can imagine man eating only fruits and vegetables. Probably, meat couldn't have been one of the things we eat, or we could have been drying it instead of the cooking or frying that we do today.

More to that, man couldn't have been passing through the difficulties that fire does make us pass through. For example, fire outbreaks, bush burning, etc. Many companies and industries couldn't have been in existence because most or all of them make use of fire in the production process. Probably, the means of transportation could have been donkeys, horses and because, cars, planes, and motorcycles can not be manufactured without fire. Life could have been a disaster without fire.

How do you think man discovered fire?

I don't know much about the history of fire. Nevertheless, I can remember some years back when my grandfather was still among the living, he once told me that when they were kids, they do make use of stones to light fire. They do this by striking two stones together (friction). As of then, there was nothing as lighter as we have today. Thank God for human innovation.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of fire?

Fire is very essential and dangerous too. Without fire, life is unimaginable because run the affairs of life, we need it. Nevertheless, it has caused a lot of havoc to man. Below are some of the advantages and disadvantages of fire.

Advantages

We use fire for:

• cooking
• Burning
• Melting
• Ironing
• Heating etc.

Disadvantages

• Smoke from fire destroy the ozone layer
• fire disasters destroy life and properties
• heat generated as a result of fire causes pollution and reduces the supply of oxygen.

How should we handle fire for a safe environment?

We all know how dangerous fire can be as it can destroy the whole world. As such it should be handle with all caution to avoid stories that touches the heart. In my opinion, whatever that can cause fire should be kept away from children. Also, objects like lighter should be kept safe and far from petroleum, kerosene, Gas, etc. With that, the rate of fire disaster can be eliminated.
