It's my pleasure to share my opinion on this interesting contest, money is indeed for protection, and as my people usually say; money stops nonsense, with money I can live a very comfortable life, getting all the things I need which can contribute to my happiness, but if I'm asked to choose between money and peace, then I will definitely go for peace without thinking twice, yes I can't trade my peace for anything, and I can't underrate my peace of mind because it is what keeps me going in life.

Before I progress further, I would like my friends @eliany, @stef1 and @wilmer1988 to join this amazing contest.

Are We All Sacrificing Peace To Make Money?

Sincerely, the answer to this question can't be straightforward, because it depends on individual, societal norms, values, and financial circumstances. For example, some people prioritize earning money by all means over attaining peace, while others place value in having peace even if it means sacrificing financial gains.

I've seen some people who took up a high-paying job that is extremely stressful and requires them to work long hours in a high-pressure environment, resulting in a lack of peace, but they don't mind, as long as it foots their bills and that of their family members, and the job help them attend to their desired lifestyle. Now this is even better and legit, in my country, I've seen those who go to any extent to acquire wealth, I mean they don't mind killing to have money, and they've performed various rituals to get money, without minding how it will affect them in the future.

1000097475.jpg

On the other hand, I've seen those who don't trade their peace for anything, especially for financial gains, they opt for a simpler lifestyle that allows them to pursue hobbies, meditation, or personal growth, they are contented with what they have, and are very happy with their lives, as long as they have food, shelter, and clothing. And guess what? I fall in this category!

Well, whichever way, we need to be intentional about balancing our pursuit of wealth and maintaining inner peace. Undisputably, Financial stability is essential for our wellbeing, then it’s equally important to find moments of tranquility and mindfulness. We must strike a balance, knowing when we should step back, breathe, and appreciate life & the things we have in life, because this is easy and it's beyond material gains. 🌿💰🕊️

Which Is Wiser To Spend And Earn Or To Spend After Earning And Saving?

These two approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, and the choice depends on each of us, let me explore each:

Spend and Earn Pros:

1000097489.jpg

For this, one enjoys his or her fruit of labor right away, you don't tied down with strict savings goals, and an opportunity may arise for you to invest in assets or experiences that appreciate over time.

Cons:

It's risky because if you overspend, you may end up struggling financially later. There's no security, and no safety net for emergencies, and you may miss out on potential investment growth.

Spend After Earning and Saving Pros:

Since I was young my parents taught me to save before spending, and I was also taught in higher institutions that it's the best method, below are some of its important:

Financial security: You build an emergency fund and long-term savings, and you will have peace of mind knowing that you are prepared for any unexpected expenses and those early savings can grow significantly over time.*

Cons:

Delayed gratification: You won't eat the fruit of your reward immediately, but I think this is good in the long run. You have to be rigid, living on a strict budget, and you may miss the opportunity to invest in assets earlier.

I think it's better we find balance in each approach, saving for emergencies and long-term goals is important while allowing ourselves some immediate enjoyment, yes we shouldn't be overly strict, this life is not as hard as we think 😆 the truth is that financial well-being involves finding harmony between spending, earning, and saving.

Apart From Money, What Brings You Peace And Happiness?

1000095480.jpg

Having a good relationship with my heavenly father brings me immeasurable peace and happiness! I'm able to enjoy his loyal love which he reserves only for his close friends. Some other things that often bring me tranquility include:

Nature: the beautiful starry night, the colorful sky, the beautiful flowers, the sound of waves, the beautiful sunrise, the amazing sunset, the moon, and natural environments, all normally evoke feelings of peace and wonder.

Good relationships: connecting meaningfully with my family and friends usually gives me comfort and happiness.

Creativity: being able to express myself through art like drawing, craft, and cooking makes me have a deep feeling of fulfillment.

Minding My Business: gives me peace and joy, because I won't be involved in any disagreement that doesn't involve me, also medication usually helps me to cultivate inner peace.

Lastly, an act of kindness: I love giving, and I've experienced the saying that givers never lack firsthand in my life, helping others and making a positive impact brings me happiness and a sense of purpose.

In conclusion, I would say the impact of money on peace is rather subjective than objective, and individuals make decisions based on their personal values, life goals, and financial circumstances. For me, It is pertinent to strike a balance because While financial stability and security are essential aspects of a fulfilling life, they should not be prioritized at the expense of one's well-being and inner peace. Thank you 🙏

So you feel money is not important to live a better life? You would opt for mental peace, right? I would go for money any day.

Just kidding. I have just resigned from a very high paying job and enjoying my mantle peace right now. In fact, I will spend my time traveling and writing my book. I believe mental peace is necessary after a certain age. My best wishes to you for this contest.

Thank you for the thoughtful message. I know you were joking when you said "So you feel money is not important to live a better life? You would opt for mental peace, right? I would go for money any day." You're absolutely right when you said "I believe mental peace is necessary after a certain age." I truly appreciate your well-wishes and meaningful contribution.

It is optional for on to choose peace over money or money over peace depending on what the want.

To me, I also stand with your idea that money is never to be compared to peace of mind, money can never buy peace of mind. So I never prioritise money to peace.

Thanks for inviting me, I'm wishing you success

You are correct, there are certain things that money can't buy—such as peace of mind, strong relationships, true connections, and genuine happiness. I value your insightful input and support.

@goodybest
Apna rightly said that man's happiness is money, but to fulfill this happiness, money is needed to take it further. There is no doubt that man is there for peace, but if he does not have it, he cannot fulfill his needs, rather, money has become a necessity for man, because without money, man is a necessity. Nothing that has so much money is respected so much. In today's age, man is running after the race of money.

I believe money is necessary, it's for protection but then there are certain things we can't afford with money, and as such we shouldn't have it by all means. Thanks for visiting me?
