The Art of Sycophancy

in Hindwhale Communitylast year (edited)

How are you Dear Steemians,

Are you aware of the art of sycophancy? If your answer is yes, Great, you are going to go places, but if your answer is no, then perhaps you will survive, but you will have to toil hard!

So, what is a sycophant? The answer is not easy, but a person must be forward-looking, self-seeking, and know how to please others even if their own self-respect is at stake. A sycophant needs to be a complete flatterer and have good eyesight so he can recognize his target at the very first glance.

Where do you find such people? Pretty much everywhere, including the government sector, politics, educational institutes, and even on websites. They generally identify a person and simply cling to them. The rest is on the person to look after their interests.

Do you know that sycophants easily turn into narcissistic personalities, which are generally found in men, but women are not far behind? I can’t pinpoint any particular reason for the connection between narcissism and sycophancy, but there are more than one factor behind my theory.

Sycophancy is mainly environmental, but narcissism is probably genetic, which means it comes from their parents. But why? For a simple reason, a sycophant dreams big, but when he is unable to attain it, he becomes a narcissist.

The treatment is pretty much treatable, but only a psychiatrist can do this. So, if you see a person in this category, avoid him or be ready to face the consequences.

So, my dear Steemians brothers, the meaning of sycophancy is to exaggerate the qualities of a person and at the same time praise even his wrongdoings. This kind of act is done by people who get benefits from that person have no self-respect or is too selfish.

And according to me, tact means influencing others through your speaking and a good lifestyle. This quality is present only in those people who know how to read people's minds well and can use this quality even in difficult situations can solve problems.

I never flatter anyone for my own benefit and never hesitate to call a spade a spade.
