It's been some time since I joined this important contest, continuously organized by friend @jyoti-thelight, HWC contest #56: POWER UP & WIN - WEEK 42.

Well, I think most of you guys know what is powering up. It's simply growing our account. By turning the liquid steem that we received to Steem Power we are not only doing good to the ecosystem but also stabilizing our existence here. Continuously Power Up is the first lesson I received when I joined here. Currently, the Steemit team also emphasizes its value by many means like Clubs, etc. So, kudos to this type of contest for promoting the process.

So, the real question is why so complex without just selling them.

Well, as I said earlier, this is the best way to grow your account and mark your name on the platform. Just check the wallets of Steem representatives or reputed Steemians on the platform. They have a huge amount of SP, which doesn't fall from the sky, but with honest work, commitment, and continuous powering up. So, all start from zero and build their value.

And there are other importance. With the rise of SP you get high voting power, so you can support other users and appreciate good content. On the other hand, we can receive a good share of curation rewards as well. Or else we can delegate them to communities and strength them.

We can influence witness voting, or apply for different roles on the platform like representatives, moderators, and curators as well. And also staking of steem helps to rise the price of the coin as well, which will be handy in the long run.
