Asalam-o-Alikum |
---|
Greetings! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their life with family and friends by the Grace of Allah Almighty. Today I am here to participate in SEC-S16W4 contest held in HINDWHALE COMMUNITY. The topic of the contest is "Children Vs Extracurricular Activities ". So lets start!
How can extracurricular activities help children's physical and mental growth? |
---|
Extracurricular activities like sports, dance, and art can help kids grow physically because they involve movement of body parts. When children participate in these activities they exercise their bodies which makes them stronger and healthier. Taking example of playing soccer or basketball, children can improve their coordination and stamina. These activities also give children a break from sitting and studying. It also make their muscles and bones strong.
Extracurricular activities also benefit children's mental growth. When kids involve in activities they enjoy like painting, playing music, or running, it makes them feel happy and relaxed. My nephews when they wake up in the morning, they start playing with each other whole day by running and cycling. This helps them to learn the team work and building friendship. Overall the extracurricular activities can boost mental as well as physical health.
Do today's children like extracurricular activities, or are they forced to participate by their parents? |
---|
Children always find extracurricular activities a fun way to play with each other. Yes it is also true that in today's era, children are more towards mobiles, tablets, and laptops than goind out for extracurricular activities. But still there are more than 50% children who are not forced by their parents to play outside with other children to improve communication, confidence, team work skill, and problem solving skill.
However, there are many children as well who are forced by parents to participate in extracurricular activities. The reason is they are so attached to smartphones that they only play games on it but not want to involve their body movement which makes them healthier. In my view, parents must be strict to make their children participate in extracurricular activities because smartphones are destroying their thinking as well as physical abilities.
Is extracurricular activity necessary for children? |
---|
Yes, Extracurricular activities are very important for all children because they are really helpful for their growth and development. These activities offer kids a chance to explore their interests outside of regular school subjects. For example, a child might discover a passion for soccer, drama, painting, or singing. This exploration can help children figure out what they enjoy and what they are good at. It also gives them opportunities to learn new skills and build confidence.
Furthermore, extracurricular activities provide important social experiences as kids interact with each other and make long lasting friendships. They also learn valuable skills of teamwork, communication and time management. So in my view extracurricular activities are very important for all children as they are helpful in physical and mental growth of a child.
Which are the best extracurricular activities for today's children? |
---|
If we talk about best extracurricular activities for today's children then it really depends on their interest, talents, and available resources. Sports like soccer, baseketball, cricket, and swimming are popular choices as they promote physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline. But these activities are only for those who have good resources including money because sports require some budget.
Furthermore, creative activities like art, music, painting, drawing, singing, or drama can help children express themselves and develop their artistic skills. Additionally, there is STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) activities like coding, robotics teams and maths problem solving are popular activities in many areas of our world. So it depends on the children's interest and talent that which extracurricular activities best suits him/her.

A child should be allowed to do what he likes as it will benefit his mental development. Other physical fitness, football, swimming, cycling, dance, cultural activities, theater or other sports that strengthen children physically and mentally. Riding bikes and playing sports with other children like your nephew does is important for fostering communication. Your writing is excellent.
