Steemit Engagement Challenge S19-W2: "Life without electricity"
Electricity—yes, electricity, and our lives nowadays are inseparable. Imagine coming up with no alarm because there's no electricity to charge your phone. Your coffee maker? That's useless, too. So it's cold cereal and perhaps a jog to work since the car won't start without a charged battery.
At work, it's a nightmare. No computers, no internet—just you, some paper, and a pen running out of ink all the time. Meetings become face-to-face, literally, while spreadsheets turn into now handwritten sheets. Productivity nose-dives, but hey— -*- at least you get to know your colleagues better.
That morning spot
What about this one😊
Nights would involve candlelit dinners every night, but not in a romantic way—more like squinting at your food, hoping it's cooked. Your favourite TV shows? Gone. Streaming? Forget it. It's books by the fire, if you have one, and then early to bed because, well, what else is there to do? Life would feel like some sort of marathon historical drama where none of the glamorous costumes exist.
That romantic setting area
Living without electricity? First, get a good wind-up alarm clock unless you enjoy sleeping in. Manual coffee grinder—nothing's worse than caffeine withdrawal.
Stock up with candles and oil lamps as you don't want to go stumbling about in the dark. A bicycle will become your best friend for commutes. You will, no doubt, need board games to stay entertained. Anyone for Monopoly by candlelight?
And last but not least, get just a good old-fashioned radio with some batteries. It's your connection to the outside world, and come on, who doesn't love a bit of static-y music?
Spot for morning walk, not bad
Now, mornings come with a plain old sunrise wake-up call—no snooze button for that! My ritual of coffee would become manual labor in grinding the beans. At least then I would have developed some large, noticeable arm muscles.
Work would be another matter. No internet, no computers—just paper and pen. Of course, meetings would always have to be in person, so maybe finally my doodling prowess would be truly valued. Candlelit reading in the evenings and off to bed early.
Like one big, long camping trip—a camping trip without marshmallows. Coping? Sure. Thriving? That's a different question!
Thank you very much for reading, it's time to invite my friends @shahid75, @bossj23, @sualeha to participate in this contest.

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
I can't even imagine this Boss because all aspects of my life totally depends on electricity. People do ask, what will those in control of electricity say in judgement day....God said Let there be light and then, there are putting us in darkness. Sometimes I always imagine a life without electricity but I tend to see it's not going to be possible. Your points stated here are quite unique. I always love your writing style. Your first picture speak volumes too. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks buddy, your words light up my day! Imagine a world without power—shocking! 😯
Thank you so much @anasuleidy for support your's grand support😊.
