“Steemit Engagement Challenge - S13/W5 - 90's vs 2K"
Today am writing on this topic with the hints given below:
I’d like to start by defining a generation in my own words as a set of people who lived during a particular time frame usually about 20/30 years. As it were, I’ve been privileged to live in the two generations. Life in this two generations are drastically very different more like from the East to the west. The experiences are different and if am asked which of them I like most, I’d say I love the 2k generation popularly known as the Gen z right now.
In this generation all that has changed, life and learning is more advanced. Students are using books to learn and even note pads and electronic gadgets, computers etc. The advent of technology has taking learning to another level. Now we can learn online, goggle anything and get all the information you need. It’s really a welcomed development.
There were crude form of entertainment those days. We had little or no toys so we have to come out as a community to play outside with each other. The television was black and white , no colored tvs and only the few privileged could acquire it. The only reasonable means of entertainment was the radio. The music of those days were kinda more cool, slow and more meaningful than now than people make noise and sing with little meaning and it’s trending everywhere. The entertainment had reached its peak and you can literally be entertained with whatever you want through the social media even from the comfort of your bedroom. We have many social media platforms now like YouTube, Facebook, instagram and etc. back in those days, there was nothing like the social media.
In the 90s there were a couple of games and sports available like I could remember vividly like the mortal combat, super Mario which were the most popular of them all. We also had sports like football, boxing being played then. In the 2000s, so many other sports have really been invented such as cycling, skating, and the Olympic Games, formula one and etc which weren’t there so many years ago. We also have video games like Pokémon, Nintendogs etc and a whole lot of others available at peoples beck and call.
The sweets we ate during the 90s were ok and not so bad but there has been a drastic improvement to those versions in the 2000s and most of them can’t even be seen again. Somehow I feel the 90s sweets were more healthier in a way as they didn’t contain much sugar or sweeteners than the more sophisticated yet very sugary sweets of this generation.

My friend you have made an interesting entry, who would habe believed formula 1 would exist! The sporting advancement you highlighted such as cycling, skating are actually lovely sports. Indeed during the 90s there were less games, therefore we would come out to play together. Super Mario, I can't forget the game in a hurry, I loved boxing too, infact Mohammed Ali was my favorite too. Success in the challenge and may the best contestant win the challenge.

Starting your publication with a brief explanation of the concepts of generation is one thing that made your post unique and kept me going through..
The two generation has many changes from the early 2k down to this moment. One of the changes we could see is the presence of technology qll over the society today..
I agree with you that school now is more beautiful interesting and more sophisticated than that of the 90s. The reason for its sophistication to me is the presence of technology also with materials which were improvised like the use of laptops iPad tablet computer smartphone and the internet.
Truly technology has dominated the world with constant innovative productivity that has helped mqn alot. In entertainment z the digital world is leading. In the 90s music were raw, natural and smooth and we're loved by the people of the 90s, but now we have more blended sounds with instruments and voices. I could remember the use of black and white television with only four channels but now we have a high resolution tv to watch over 200 channels or more with the decoder. Also platforms like the social media and streaming platforms has influenced entertainment.
For sweets, memories are intact. The sweets of the 90s rolled to the early 2k making it possible for me to have a taste. But now they are no where to be found because of new flavours and ingredients which to me are not good.

Los 90's es una década que han considerado como la cuna de la educación porque, en ese momento las investigaciones se realizaban en libros y, las personas eran disciplinadas para que desarrollaran el hábito de visitar las bibliotecas... Es más, se dice que a nivel mundial, las bibliotecas públicas eran el lugar más frecuentado por grandes y chicos.
Yo viví muy poco en los 90's pero, te confieo que estoy enamorada de esa época jajajajaja.
