Yes my father told me that at that time there were only few schools which were not in every villages and we used to go school on our cycles and on feet.

You father was actually very correct. We walked long miles to school and the privileged ones were the ones that got the cycles. The syllabus was very easy not cumbersome and we write on wooden boards called slates. I actually expanded on what life was then on my post 90’s/2ks
