"Steemit Engagement Challenge S11/W6 - “Most Popular Game of My Country Cricket”
Hello Steemians! Well come to my post. How are you all? I hope that you will be doing well. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 11 Week 6 in the Hindwhale Community. The topic of this challenge is "The most popular game of my country ". So let's start the task.
Friends as we all know that the sports has a great significance in our lives because they keep us mentally and physically fit and plays a vital role in the growth of our body. So almost every country has a game which is liked by the majority of people of that country and it is considered as a most popular game of that country. Actually the national game of my country Pakistan is hockey but the cricket is most famous than he hockey in whole country. So friends the Cricket is the most popular game of my country.
People in Pakistan are so passionate about playing cricket that whenever you go out somewhere you will see children and people playing cricket in fields, grounds and in empty spaces. Actually the game cricket was originated from England then in no time it became the most famous game in the whole world after the football. Cricket is played with one bat, ball and three stumps (wickets). I'm also very fond of playing and watching cricket. I still remembered that in my childhood I used to spend my whole day in the cricket ground in playing cricket.
It is obvious that when this game is popular all over the world its competitions will be at the international level. Actually the cricket game is controlled by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the all other cricket playing nations are under the rules and regulations of the ICC. That council is responsible for organizing the cricket competitions at international level. Then they invite all other cricket teams to take a part in that events and then they reward them with huge prizes and trophies.
Actually the cricket events are organized in the form of different competitions and The Odi Cricket World Cup is The biggest completion in the world of cricket which is organized after the long interval of time 4 Years. Currently the England's cricket team has that trophy because they won the ODI world in 2019 beating New Zealand in the final. Besides this there are many cricket events which are organized at the international level. Such as :
- ICC ODI World Cup
- ICC T20 World Cup
- World Test Championship
- ICC Champions Trophy
- ACC Asia Cup (For Asian Teams)
Besides all these competition there are several cricket leagues which are held by different countries and they are directly connected to the emotions of the cricket lovers because the every cricket fan want that his favorite player shine in every match. Besides the ICC events some countries organize their own cricket leagues to amuse the cricket lovers. Some Major cricket leagues and organizing countries are given below:
- PSL (Pakistan Super league)
- IPL (Indian Premier League)
- BBL (Big Bash League) Australia
- BPL ( Bangladesh Premier League)
- CPL ( Caribbean Premier League) West indies
- LPL ( Lanka Premier League) Sri Lanka
- T20 Blast (England)
Yes of course the players of my country Pakistan are world class and they have actively participated in the every event of ICC and earned a huge name by their performances. Basically the my country Pakistan is famous for producing the quality pacers that is why the cricket experts consider pakistan as a land of pacers. Pakistan have also won the ICC events such as ODI World Cup in 1992, t20 world cup 2009, ICC test Championship in 2016 and champions trophy in 2017. So that is the results of the hard of Pakistan cricket players.

Since the first day of playing cricket pakistan cricket team has produced many world class players. And in the world of cricket he has such records that no one has been able to break them. The Legendary Fast bowler of Pakistan Shoaib Akhtar has bowled world fastest ball which is about 161.3Km/h. Since then no one has been able to break that record. More ever currently many pakistani player are ruling over the world of cricket.
The currently Babar Azam the all format captain of Pakistan cricket team is top of the list. Yes currently he is the only player in the world who is in the list of top 5 player in all three formats such as test, ODI and t20. Currently he is the No 1 ODI Batsman at NO 3 in t20 and No 4 in tests. Currently he is the Best Batsman in the whole world and of Pakistan also.
More ever among the other best and world class players of Pakistan cricket team are:
- Babar Azam
- Muhammad Rizwan
- Imam Ul Haq
- Fakhar Zaman
- Shaheen Shah Afridi
- Naeem Shah
- Haris Rauf
- Shadab Khan
Not at all the game which is most famous in my country and the national game of my country are not same they both are different. The national game of my country is Hockey but the people don't like hockey too much. This is because the the government of Pakistan is not paying any serious attention in hockey game.
It is true that there was a time when Pakistan completely ruled the game of hockey and the whole world was well aware of Pakistan's hockey players and their performance. But due to less attention of the government towards hockey this game is steadily declining in Pakistan and the cricket is fetching the attention of people towards itself.

Both hockey and cricket are very interesting to play in groups. In as much as hockey is being played at the nationals, people still prefer cricket and made it the most famous in Pakistan.
