Cats love the heat and on cold winter days I worry about the strays that have no cozy fireplace to keep them warm like my two spoiled lovelies.
There have been a couple, possible strays, cats coming around but they take off if anyone approaches them. Hopefully their coat of fur will keep them warm enough when the temperature dips. Sometimes they can find barns or old abandoned buildings for shelter. Barns are great places for cats as they keep the mice and rats under control.
Sunday cat loves to lie on the tile by the wood stove. The tiles stay nice and warm when the fire is going.

Thanks @abitcoinskeptic! You have been to Canada and know how cold it can get some days. We had a couple cold days but this morning’s temperature is above freezing. I can live with that. 😂

Terrific photos Jo! Sunday has the right idea and I know Sunday is a lucky kitty to have you (and vice versa). The outside cats here have a nice thick coat on them but I know it doesn't get as cold here as it does there in PEI. 😊
Hi Dee! We had a few cold days and nights but today is above freezing and the sun was strong. There will probably be a few more weeks before the nice weather.

The Snowman is still standing but is leaning so far he appears to be defying gravity! More above freezing temps tomorrow will most likely see him collapse.
I watched the episode of Anne with an E last night where they went up in a hot air balloon and was astonished by the beauty of the coast line of PEI.
Poor Mr. Snowman he doesn’t stand a chance with the temperature changing. 😂
I watch the series too Melinda. It’s a great one and shows a lot of the end of the Island where the author lived.
I finished up watching it last night and am looking forward to season 4!

t think there is a cat that would not like to stretch or curl up in front of the fire! Especially with the freezing temperatures we are having... Id spend the whole day in front of the fireplace! ;0)My two cats certainly love the warmth of the wood fire as do I . 🔥 😂
We had some warm days a bit above freezing but last night was a cold one. Spring will be a welcome sight!
