Resident Evil Village Review
Our hero Ethan Winters after returning from Resident Evil 7 and his wife Mia cook supper and care for their newborn baby, Rosemary. Resident Evil Village opens with a scene of home happiness. Then something terrible happens and I won't reveal what since it's shocking and interesting for RE fans and Ethan finds himself alone in a snowstorm in an isolated community, seeking for his kidnapped child.
It's a jarring, abrupt start, but it's successful in raising the stakes and establishing Village's harsh, sadistic tone. The location of the village from which the game receives its name is never specified directly, but a few indications point to it being someplace in Romania's wintry mountains. The village itself is a shabby, run-down jumble of wood and brick buildings, farmer's fields, and the odd church.
A medieval castle with enormous spires extending into the mist looms above it, and there are also signs of ancient ruins, implying a long and fascinating history. Ethan is a dull character who is always perplexed by what is going on and never has anything fascinating to say. His extreme normalcy heightens the strangeness of the village's many unusual individuals, making him a slightly unremarkable protagonist. The Baker family in the last game were a somewhat grounded bunch of ghouls, but Capcom has dramatically upped the monstrousness of its opponents in this game.
In his search for Rose, Ethan encounters an extraordinarily tall and glamorous vampire, a strange mutant fish-man, a deadly porcelain doll, and other bizarre characters. Village has the feel of a horror anthology because each section is so dissimilar. This might make it feel incoherent at times, as if all the pieces are strewn together haphazardly. Lady Dimitrescu, the aforementioned haughty vampire, is on the search for you. Her luxurious 15th-century castle is a maze of elaborate, gilded hallways and gloomy drawing rooms, richly adorned and softly illuminated by candles. The imposing Lady D bearing down on you (crouching to squeeze through doorways that are far too narrow for her) is thrillingly nerve-wracking in this eerie surroundings
You must hunt for things to unlock the main gate as she follows you, which requires some light puzzle solving and, in typical Resi fashion, mental mapping of the building. Her daughter Bela, Daniela, and Cassandra also try to hunt you. Then you have to deal with Donna Beneviento, Moreau, Urias and Heisenberg. They all try to stop you. At last you have to fight with Mother Miranda who is the main villain of Resident Evil Village by the help of Chris and his team. Ethan has few allies in the community, and those who do meet him usually die terribly soon after
The Duke, a mystery character, is a continual welcoming presence. He's a merchant with an oddly enigmatic demeanor who seems to be one step ahead of you at all times. You'll find him around the corner in a new region, calmly smoking on a cigar and waiting for your coin. He sells weapons, ammo, crafting blueprints, and other useful items, as well as buying whatever treasure you find, including the crystallized remains of bosses, which always fetch a decent price.
This is probably the best game of 2021 till now. You will fill the fear and the twist of the story will give a you a thrill ride. One thing I would like to say that, anyone who don't play resident evil 7 please don't play resident evil village first because the story of resident evil village begins after resident evil 7 also you can't understand the story if you don't finish Resident evil 7.
Play this game for your highest level of horror entertainment and thrilling story.
