I am one of the newest members in the DCooperation community.
I think that we should not focus on the rewards, but on creating a real community. This is the main problem with the Steem blockchain. Almost everyone is focusing on the rewards (in a selfish, greedy way by focusing only on their own blog posts), but not on caring about other people's blog posts, and being social, using the platform manually, naturally. By the way, most of those $100 was probably bot boosted, and not manual upvotes. Posts with huge payouts are usually bot boosted.
We just want some attention for our community. And we are just building this. So, check posts from our members and comment them and they will comment you in return. Not all people are the same !

There were 47 subscribers to this community before I subscribed, and 48 after I subscribed.
And it is still 48. Hopefully this and the number of the active members will also increase in the future. I am already commenting other member's posts. I hope that this community will be successful.

There are 59 675 posts in the first week of 2020, but the average number of comments is only 3.38. The number of the daily active users are constantly decreasing (dropping/falling) since months.
