Old steemit post - Why steem ?
This is my second post of the series where I read old steemit posts.
Not all the posts will be in form of videos, so I will share that in form of a post today.
I wrote on google ''why steem'' and found this post : Why STEEM? by @chiefmappster written 2 years ago from a guy who is not active here anymore.
The post is about why someone should invest in steem and why he saw a big potential in it. Of course the main reasons we all know, like building apps here, no fees and fast transactions, but it's really interesting how he formated his post and it's also interesting how people are still excited about steem for the same reasons !
I also checked the comments on that post and saw that the only one I know from commenters is @onealfa in the top, who is still active in steem and that's great. Some are not active for months and some are still active, so it will be interewting to follow those who are still active and comment them. That's how we can find active steemians to comment and to be commented back instead of complaining about the lack of engagement on steem.
You can follow me in all these social media and let me know in the comments, how can I find you to follow :
Facebook group , Twitter, Quora, Reddit, Youtube, Instagram, TikTok , Medium, lbry
I'm promoting steem in all of them. Let's connect there and promote it together !
I'm also the founder of @dcooperation , the community where we collaborate. You're welcome to join us in our discrod server.
Here is the community in beta.steemit, you can subscribe and post in it : https://beta.steemit.com/trending/hive-177976 . We are giving autoupvotes for that !
Check here what else I do to promote steem : The efforts I do to promote steem !
One of the advantages of the Steem blockchain after the freedom of speech is content preserving. Everything you post to the Steem blockchain will remain there as long as the Steem blockchain exists. This may mean many decades or even centuries.
The Steem blockchain (and especially Steemit) should be promoted by these values, and not by the money earning opportunity.
I write this, because Steemit is currently marketed with the money earning opportunity. It is no wonder that the majority of the users are focusing on money earning.
If you are not logged in on Steemit, you can see the "Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post.
If you enjoyed what you read here, create your account today and start earning FREE STEEM!" message under every blog post.
I think that this is bad marketing. Especially writing "FREE STEEM". Very bad marketing. I think that this should be replaced.
When you open the wbesite, the first thing that's written there is ''Money talks''. It's a proof of stake. So, it's written in the website that's the more money you have, the more you earn and now for some reason more and more crypto are moving to proof of stake. I don't know why people are so excited about that and forgetting proof of brain and others, but it's what it is !
