My lens can do 1:1 only too, and sometimes I also wish it had more magnification, but more magnification means a lot more work to do to be able to present a sharp photo, I'm talking of a lot of focus stacking and such... but I know, what you mean ;)

I was told about this good solution:** Raynox DCR-250 Macro Conversion Lens 52-67mm**. you may check it too.. folks reviews say, it is not expensive and easy to use... personally, i starting to hunt it down at ebay. probably I am too !DERANGED to buy it at !MARLIANS shop -- but I simply love ebay and !BEER
Yes, a beautiful bokeh is something special and I do like such photos very much too.
I hope you can get that lens, of which I have heard about already, but I didn't think that it's something I'd like to work with, because a dedicated macro lens is much easier to handle ... and much more expensive, I know. This is, why I have bought the relatively cheap Sigma 105mm macro lens.
But, as said before, I hope you can get such a Raynox lens and tell us about your experience then - it would be really interesting, because I do not trust the reviews at ebay or amazon very much.

a bit!DERANGED but not only I have a !BEER for you today, but also a !COFFEEA which I have bought at the !MARLIANS !shop 😉I have in mind something like dedicated macro (60, 100mm - now I have 150mm but I am not happy about it) PLUS said Raynox adapter, which will level up the starting 1:1 magnification to a better level. I can direct you to @borjan's posts of insects which are created with this lens, if you would like to have a look.
its time for a cup of !COFFEEA now. but !BEER also would be handy. not sure about !DERANGED !MARLIANS, tho.
Oh, I know @borjan 🙂 but I didn't know that he is using such a lens combination. His photos are great and the macros are stunning.

a bit!DERANGED but not only I have a !BEER for you today, but also a !COFFEEA which I have bought at the !MARLIANS !shop 😉see, i have apparently the same kind of tiny moths here (really tiny and slender, 8-9mm) and his recent insects post clearly demonstrated his line-up allows better magnification than 1:1,... something I definitely would be more happy as a tool, than what I have now.

let me add a bit more !BEER to my comment, as your eyes definitely will be tired of reading all this. I think its a light and (relatively) cheap gadget and I should try to use it. (combining with dedicated macro lens... just something not so tele, like my 150mm).

So, my friend, buy this Raynox lens and show us some cool macros - maybe I'll follow you and buy it too, but I'll wait until I see what you do, because I trust you more than the people who write reviews, although sometimes I write reviews for Amazon myself ;)
