"Monuments of my city" Ezequiel Zamora Park (El Calvario)
My regards to the friend @strawberrry.
A pleasure to participate in the contest Monuments of my City #2
In this opportunity I will present some of the monuments that you can enjoy when you visit the Ezequiel Zamora Park, better known as Calvary. Park that is located in the center of Caracas between the Parroquia San José and San Juan and at the entrance of January 23. Created in 1883 under the name of Paseo Guzmán Blanco and has obtained several names, in 2010 it received the current name Ezequiel Zamora
The first monument you find when you arrive after climbing 90 steps is that of Ezequiel Zamora, leader of the Federal War.
In this park you can also find the monument to the arch of the Federation.
In one of the squares of the park you can also find the monument called Woman of Calvary, its characteristic is that it has its hands behind its back and its gaze is fixed towards the east.
You will also find the monument or bust of Teresa Carreño, a famous and renowned Venezuelan pianist and composer.
Within this park you will also find other monuments of characters of great significance and impetus for Venezuela, such as that of our Liberator Simón Bolívar and Simón Rodríguez.
Thanks for reading me. Come back 😁
Pronto iré a conocer ese lugar!
