Dandelions. Oh, how cool it was as a child to find a clearing of blooming dandelions, run through it and thousands of thousands of super paratrooper, commando flew up and flew in the wind to land somewhere far away on the ground and seize a new territory. Have you done this?

Одуванчики. О, как классно было в детстве найти поляну распустившихся одуванчиков, пробежаться по ней и тысячи тысяч супердесантников взметались вверх и летели по ветру, чтобы где-то далеко приземлиться на землю и захватить новую территорию. Вы проделывали такое?


This is a small clearing formed behind my house. I sent these photos to my wife today and she said - it is urgently necessary to destroy this beauty. She went to stay with her mother-in-law for a week to help spend the planting season there. And she said that she had already won the dandelion meadow at her mother's.
It is necessary to cultivate the soil in this place, but definitely hands will not reach it. So we need to turn on the trimmer already.

Это маленькая такая полянка образовалась за моим домом. Я сегодня скинул жене эти фотографии и она сказала - срочно нужно уничтожить эту красоту. Она уехала на неделю к теще, чтобы помочь там провести посадочный сезон. И она сказала, что уже победила полянку одуванчиков у мамы.
Надо перебаламутить почву в этом месте, но точно руки до этого не дойдут. Так что надо уже тример включать.


But these dandelions can be used with great benefit.

1. This is a wonderful vitamin food for rabbits! My mom a couple of years ago in the spring collected dandelions to give to rabbits.
2. This is a great top dressing for plants! It is necessary to collect dandelions, fill them with water so that they are infused, and then water the plants with this solution in the garden.
3. Someone even makes dandelion salads. But we don't practice that.
   
   Но эти одуванчики можно использовать с большой пользой.
4. Это прекрасный витаминный корм для кроликов! Моя мама еще пару лет назад по весне собирала одуванчики, чтобы отдать кроликам.
5. Это прекрасная подкормка для растений! Нужно собрать одуванчики, залить их водой, чтобы они настоялись, а потом этим раствором поливать в саду растения.
6. Кто-то даже делает салаты из одуванчиков. Но мы такое не практикуем.
   
   
   
   
   
   The photos were taken at 6 o'clock in the morning. This is the southeast side of the house. The morning sun illuminates these flowers, the plot is protected from the north wind, so the dandelions have already opened their buds. They close at night.
   I wanted to plant trees on this territory, but my wife does not allow me to do it. I don't insist on my wish.
   
   Фотографии сделаны в 6 часов утра. Это юго-восточная сторона дома. Утреннее солнце освещает эти цветочки, участок защищен от северного ветра, поэтому одуванчики уже раскрыли свои бутоны. На ночь они закрываются.
   Я хотел посадить деревья на этой территории, но жена не разрешает мне это делать. Я не настаиваю на своем желании.
   
   
   Bonus. Nettle. This is our spring vitamin supplement. We make soup out of it. Once upon a time, about 47 years ago, I tried nettle soup in a Ukrainian family in our village. I remember that I was afraid that the nettle might burn my mouth, but it didn't happen. That's why I remember this moment so well. And the soup was delicious! Since then, I have fallen in love with this soup and every spring I asked my mother to cook it.
   
   Бонус. Крапива. Вот это наша весенняя витаминная добавка. Мы варим из неё суп. Когда-то давно-давно, примерно 47 лет назад я попробовал в одной украинской семье в нашем поселке суп из крапивы. Я помню, что я боялся, что крапива может обжечь мой рот, но этого не произошло. Поэтому я так запомнил этот момент. И суп был очень вкусный! С тех пор я влюбился в этот суп и каждую весну просил свою маму приготовить его. Когда земля освобождалась от снега, я начинал ждать появления крапивы. Я знал участки земли, где она должна была появиться.
