My Favorite Cryptocurrency – How Can We Get Businesses to Accept as Payment?steemCreated with Sketch.

in Project HOPE4 years ago

Hello Project Hoope community and Steemit in general, this is my participation in Steem Crypto Challenge Month - Update of Challenge #1: My Favorite Cryptocurrency - How Can We Get Businesses to Accept as Payment?, challenge organized by @steemitblog, and supported by @steemcurator01 and @steemcurator02.

Well, the importance that cryptocurrencies has taken in today's world is very big, and no doubt it's increasing, the pandemic and the confinement allowed many to have more time and to be able to venture into the cryto-world, finding potential in it, don't you see? I have more than two years since I entered the cryptomoncies world through steemit, and I have been able to appreciate the benefits they bring in the management of finances, it has also allowed me to know many other projects. Yes, I know that there are thousands of them, however, here I am still at steemit, hoping that I could have a better price at some point, when I started it was above 2 dollars, but then came a persistent decrease in price, unfortunately. But well, this publication is not about the history of steemit, but about other aspects related to the massive use of coins.

There are a number of questions that @steemitblog leaves in this publication that can be used as a starting point for the elaboration of your challenge participation publication, I will answer all of them, although I will emphasize the last question, which I think is the most transcendental one as far as the subject of this challenge is concerned, so let's start:

What do you like best about cryptocurrency and how do you use it?

The speed with which transactions can be made, and that I can have control over my finances, with virtually no intermediaries, regardless of where in the world I am.

When did you learn about cryptocurrency and how long have you been mantenido?

I started in December 2017, when most people first heard about BTC when it reached the maximum price peak that it has had until now, from there, in January I met STEEMIT, and since then I have remained constant in my publications for more than two years and I medo.

What platform do you like to market cryptocurrency?

I started using Poloniex and Bittrex when I started, but nowadays I use Binance almost all the time, sometimes Poloniex.

What changes does cryptoculture bring to your life?

The reality is that knowing that there are investment options and that they can bring a good margin of profit in the short term, although risky at times, has led me to opt for this type of investment, although I still continue to work at steemit, because I consider it to be something more medium to long term. Cryptoculture has led me to be a little more objective and analytical in what I do, to avoid losses, but at the same time to be a little more risky. It has also allowed me to send money to my mother and grandmother from outside my country of origin without the need for complex processes.

What is your favorite currency?

This question encompasses several nuances, and I could make a post or more than one specifically about it. However, I must say that since I entered the world of cryptography my usual currency has been STEEM, but, in these last 6 months I have been very interested in learning about the universe of TRON, since it allows many things, starting with the smart contracts, the speed of transactions, now with the DeFi system developing in it, I think it also has much to offer, in addition it occupies one of the first places within the top of the cryptographic world. However, I am still very focused on Steem.

Now yes, this question I think is the most important in this post, or at least the one that allows to make approaches that could perhaps offer solutions that have a greater impact in the massive adoption of cryptocurrencies:

How can we make companies accept cryptocurrency as payment? Share stories about how you have made payment through cryptocurrency.

EDUCATE TO MASSIFY

I see a big problem that limits its massive adoption, and this is lack of education in the matter of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Come on, investing money in something that you don't understand is something that few people do, and if you are also guided by news of scams that abound on the net, hacking from some important exchange platform, prohibitions in some countries, you would probably stay away from this, obviously, but, on the other hand there is also a lot of news that talks about people who got rich quickly with cryptocurrencies, who live from a constant income in a passive way, among other things, that surely makes many people want to get in.

I think the main thing at this point is to get people educated about it, and I'm not talking about all of them becoming specialists, without them being able to understand the basic processes to take advantage of this new financial world and have their money run as little risk as possible, is something I consider vital here. I live in Colombia, and to several people I have talked to about this, the first thing they say to me is "do you have to bring people in to earn something", many have this concept of "earning by referral", for example. Only that can keep them away from entering the world of cryptography.

That's why I consider that one way to promote the massive adoption of cryptocurrencies is for the common person to understand what it is all about from the most basic things such as the use of passwords, advice on network security, handling within exchange platforms (how to buy and sell), in the end that is something we all do in our daily lives.

If a businessman who works with imports, we allow him to know, for example, the use of a currency like Ripple that allows him to make a transaction from his country to any place in the world, without intermediaries, practically without charging any commission and in addition immediately, he will surely not hesitate to use it, as long as the other person is also instructed in this aspect. Even Steem fulfills these conditions that allows fast transfers with zero commission, characteristics that could facilitate its adoption as an exchange currency.

In short, I consider that disinformation is one of the main obstacles for people to adopt the use of cryptocurrencies as something habitual or everyday like Fiat money, and that's why I see that we have to start here to be able to solve it.

This has been my participation in this challenge, I hope I have been clear in my opinion.

Thanks @steemitblog for this opportunity.

Hello friend @josevas217 a good approach which ie you do, I also agree that education on this subject is essential, most people are suspicious of these processes because they have always been used to receiving their money in physical without needing the digital age, but now everything has changed.

Yes @frayeligonzalez
Things have changed, you have to adapt, no doubt it's a long way, but once you're here, you have to take advantage of it.
Thanks for the comment.

I'd say I got interested in crypto at about the same time as you did. It was too late for me. The Bitcoin cycle was over and had already started to descend. Back then, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Back then I remember 1 STEEM was $3.20! Yikes~

Well, I did not manage to live that time of that price of the steem, but if I returned, I could take advantage of it to the maximum, without a doubt that I would do it, I hope that we can live it those that we entered after those tough ones.
Thanks for commenting @gungho

Congratulations you are one of the winners of the Steem Crypto Challenge Month...

Thank you for taking part

The Steemit Team

I live in Colombia, and to several people I have talked to about this, the first thing they say to me is "do you have to bring people in to earn something",

I think most people are always concerned about earning and I think if people see any means of earning from a platform, they tend to adopt such platforms more.

Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead ❤️💓💕❤️💓💕

I like this post because it is a very good explanation of the importance of disseminating knowledge about cryptocurrency, as being essential to mass adoption.
