My Favorite Cryptocurrency – How Can We Get Businesses to Accept as Payment?. Steem Crypto Challenge #1

Initially, my favorite cryptocurrencies, and I guess everybody's was the BTC and the ETH. They were the most stable in the aspect that they did not represent a scam nor were they any suspicious ICO. However, these cryptocurrencies were not created to be scalable and although they are the ones that generate the most dividends, they greatly affect the environment. Sometimes I think that the electrical problem that exists in my country is due to the lack of control and supervision of clandestine bitcoin mining farms.

Later, I knew the cryptocurrencies of a very particular blockchain, and I say particular since I mainly believed that blockchains were only to record digital money transactions. This new platform integrated two fascinating paradigms: the blockchain and the social networks, that's how I met Steemit.

This system allowed us to make money by creating content of all kinds. In a very simple way, you could earn cryptocurrencies. The interesting thing about this blockchain was that it did not charge commissions for its transactions and deposits and withdrawals were immediate. They are the fastest. Unlike previous cryptocurrencies, whose transactions were expensive and took a long time depending on how congested the network was or depending on the cost of the transmission commission (fee).

I was then interested in crypto-currencies that had the same characteristics. Undoubtedly, this was not the only platform that was created, however, very few have survived and proven to be particularly stable and relatively reliable.

I say relatively because there is always a risk involved in any type of investment and you should never forget that.

My Favorite Cryptocurrency

It's hard to decide, for me it would obviously be the main ones, ETH and BTC, however, for what I explained before, even though most of my crypts are kept in USDT (or crypto stable currencies), my favorite cryptocurrencies are TRON, STEEM, and HIVE.

I already explained that this is due to their versatility since they are very fast, have very low or no commissions, and are relatively reliable. From that point of view, they are my favorites.

In addition, they are easy to trade with each other since there are many exchanges where they are accepted.

There are those who take into account other factors when choosing a cryptocurrency, such as the characteristics that influence its quality in trading. These are useful for investing and hodling, such as ADA, BAT, BAND, etc.

How can we get businesses to accept them as payment?

Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies have undoubtedly proven to be the economy of the future. There are already many countries that have verified that their use allows them to survive in an economic recession. An example of this is my country. Here in Venezuela, our currency is continuously being devalued, so much so that we already use ( however illegally ) the dollar as a currency of exchange.

The price of our currency is already almost insignificant.

Even so, the dollar itself is being devalued. Yes, as you hear. Why do I say this? Because today an item costs $10, next week $12, and next month $20.

This is why saving or keeping the capital or our assets in our currency is not advisable, since it is worthless every day. However to buy or have dollars (legally) you have to do a lot of paperwork. unlike investing in cryptocurrency that is free and easy.

Every day there are more platforms and systems that facilitate the exchange of fiat into crypto. This allows us to maintain the value of our capital. And somehow saving money.

As is the case with Binance's P2P system, which allows us to exchange bolivars into BTC, USDT, BNB, etc.

And my country is not the only one that has resorted to the use of cryptocurrencies as an economic survival system. There are many others and currently, there are proposals from banks that will start using blockchain and the use of cryptocurrencies for their transactions. And also, cryptocurrency credit and debit cards.

Adapting people to a new economic system is not easy and convincing them to use cryptocurrencies is not easy either. But it is in the continued use that will prove its effectiveness.

Obviously, a massive education campaign is needed through all kinds of media: social networks, television, newspapers, radio, etc.; about how to use and obtain cryptocurrencies. Explaining in detail the use of wallets, both physical and digital. The pros and cons and how to prevent robberies. Thus demonstrating that they are not a scam, but rather a reality.

All of this is necessary to enlighten the public.

There are already businesses like Grupo Armor, here in my country, that accept payment in cryptocurrencies for the items they sell. In fact, it accepts several types of cryptocurrencies: BTC, ETH, DASH, etc.

It may not be very difficult to convince a business to accept cryptocurrencies as payment if the advantages of using this means of payment are explained to them:

1. All transactions are transparent and unchangeable. You always know where the money goes.

2. Transactions are totally anonymous, thus preventing third parties from trying to find out the balances and thus trying to steal them.

3. Transactions are fast and fess are cheap. Compared to banking transactions, crypto-currency transactions are cheaper, faster, simpler, and do not require any paperwork from intermediaries.

4. If the funds are stored in legal exchanges, you can be sure that the funds are protected or secured. As long as these exchanges include policies and insurance against theft.

5. If you are not sure you can trust an exchange you can also have the funds in both physical and digital. Wallets for cryptocurrencies can be specialized physical devices such as Ledger, Trezor, or you can simply print them out on paper and store them in a vault. They can also be stored digitally (on your computer or phone), either locally or online (stored at an exchange).

6. Cryptocurrencies are accepted internationally. There are countries with ATMs that allow you to convert them into fiat.

7. No special equipment is required to process payments. Normally, it is required to purchase a point of sale that accepts debit or credit cards in order to pay for the items. But if you accept payment in crypto-currencies, no special equipment is required, simply a smartphone or computer with an Internet connection is enough.

8. If you wish, you can use stable cryptocurrencies and keep their price stable. There are many cryptocurrencies such as USDT, USDC, etc., which are used as crypto that do not change their value.

9. There are many ways to get crypto coins regardless of your social, political, economic, race, or creed status. So anyone can obtain crypto coins.

10 . You can make people purchase your items from anywhere in the world by accepting payment in cryptocurrencies. It is safe, fast, and reliable.

Inicialmente, mi cryptomoneda favorita y supongo que la de todos era el BTC y el ETH. Eran las más estables en el aspecto que no representaban una estafa ni eran ningún ICO sospechoso. Sin embargo, estas cripto monedas no fueron creadas para ser escalables y aunque son las que más dividendos generan, afectan en gran forma el ecosistema. A veces pienso que el problema eléctrico que existe en mi país es por la falta de control y supervisión de las granjas clandestinas de minado de bitcoin.

Conocí entonces las cripto monedas de un blockchain muy particular, y digo particular, ya que principalmente creía que los blockchain eran únicamente para registrar transacciones de dinero digital. Esta nueva plataforma integraba dos paradigmas fascinantes: el blockchain y las redes sociales, fue así como conocí a Steemit.

Este sistema permitía ganar dinero creando contenido de todo tipo. De una manera muy sencilla podrías ganar cripto monedas. Lo interesante de este blockchain era que no cobraba comisiones por sus transacciones y los depósitos y retiros eran inmediatos. A diferencia de las cripto monedas anteriores, cuyas transacciones eran costosas y tardaban mucho tiempo dependiendo de lo congestionado que estuviera la red o dependía del costo de la comisión de envío.

Me interesé entonces por las criptomonedas que tuvieran las mismas características. Indudablemente, esta no fue la única plataforma que se creó, sin embargo, muy pocas han sobrevivido y demostrado que son particularmente estables y relativamente confiables.

Digo relativamente ya que siempre hay un riesgo que se corre en todo tipo de inversión y nunca se debe olvidar eso.

Mi cripto moneda favorita.

Es difícil decidirlo, para mi obviamente serían las principales, ETH y BTC, sin embargo, por lo que expliqué anteriormente, aun cuando la mayor parte de mis criptos los mantengo en USDT (o cripto monedas estables), mis criptomonedas favoritas son: TRON, STEEM, HIVE.

Ya expliqué que esto se debe a su versatilidad, ya que son muy rápidas, tienen comisiones muy bajas o nulas y son, relativamente, confiables. Desde ese punto de vista son mis favoritas.

Además, son fáciles de intercambiar entre ellas ya que hay muchos exchanges en donde son aceptados.

Hay quienes toman en cuenta otros factores a la hora de elegir una cripto moneda, tales como las características que influencian su calidad en el trading. Estas sirven para invertir y hacer hodling. Tales como ADA, BAT, BAND, etc.

¿Cómo podemos conseguir que los Negocios las acepten como pago?

La tecnología del blockchain y las cripto monedas, indudablemente, han demostrado ser la economía del futuro. Ya existen muchos países que han verificado que su uso permite sobrevivir ante una recesión económica. Un ejemplo de esto es mi país. Aquí en Venezuela, nuestra moneda se está continuamente devaluando, tanto así que ya usamos (aunque ilegalmente) el dólar como moneda de intercambio.

El precio de nuestra moneda ya casi es insignificante.

Aun así, el mismo dólar se devalúa. Así como lo oyen. ¿Por qué digo esto? Porque hoy un artículo cuesta $10, la semana que viene $12 y el próximo mes $20.

Es por esto, que ahorrar o mantener el capital o nuestros activos en nuestra moneda no es recomendable, ya que cada día vale menos. Pero para comprar o tener dólares (legalmente) hay que realizar mucho papeleo. Pero invertir en cripto monedas es gratuito y sencillo.

Cada día aparecen plataformas y sistemas que facilitan el intercambio de fiat a cripto. Lo que permite mantener el valor de nuestro capital. Y de alguna manera ahorrar.

Como es el caso del sistema P2P de Binance, que nos permite intercambiar bolívares a BTC, USDT, BNB, etc.

Y mi país no es el único que ha recurrido al uso de las cripto monedas como sistema económico. Hay muchos otros y actualmente hay propuestas de bancos que comenzarán a utilizar el blockchain y el uso de criptomonedas para realizar sus transacciones. Y también, tarjetas de débito y crédito de cripto monedas.

Adaptar a las personas a un nuevo sistema económico no es sencillo y convencerlos a utilizar cripto monedas tampoco lo es. Pero está en el uso continuo lo que demostrará su efectividad.

Evidentemente es necesario una campaña masiva de educación por todo tipo de medios: redes sociales, televisión, periódicos, radio, etc.; sobre cómo usar y obtener criptomonedas. Explicando a detalle sobre el uso de billeteras, tanto físicas como digitales. Los pro y los contra y cómo prevenir robos. Demostrando así que no son ninguna estafa, sino más bien una realidad.

Todo esto es necesario para instruir al público.

Ya existen negocios como Grupo Armor, aquí en mi país, que acepta el pago en cripto monedas por sus artículos que vende. De hecho, acepta varios tipos de cripto monedas: BTC, ETH, DASH, etc.

Quizás no sea muy difícil convencer a un negocio para aceptar criptomonedas como pago si se les explica las ventajas de utilizar este medio de pago:

1. Las transacciones son transparentes e inmutables. Siempre se sabe hacia dónde va el dinero.

2. Las transacciones son totalmente anónimas, de esta manera se evita que terceros intenten averiguar los saldos y así traten de robarlos.

3. Las transacciones son rápidas y las comisiones son baratas. Si las comparamos con las transacciones bancarias, las transacciones de cripto monedas son baratas, más rápidas, sencillas y no requieren ningún papeleo de intermediarios.

4. Si se guardan los fondos en exchanges legales, se tiene la seguridad de que los fondos están protegidos o asegurados. Siempre y cuando, estos exchanges incluyan políticas y seguros contra robos.

5. Si no estas seguro de confiar en una exchange también puedes tener los fondos tanto en físico como en digital. Las billeteras para cripto monedas pueden ser dispositivos físicos especializados como Ledger, Trezor o simplemente puedes imprimirlos en papel y guardarlos en una bóveda. De igual manera pueden estar almacenados de forma digital (en tu computador o teléfono), tanto en forma local como en línea (guardados en un exchange).

6. Las cripto monedas son aceptadas a nivel internacional. Existen países con cajeros automáticos que permiten convertirlos en fiat.

7. No se requiere de ningún equipo especial para procesar los pagos. Normalmente, se requiere comprar un punto de venta que acepte las tarjetas de débito o crédito para poder pagar los artículos. Pero si se acepta el pago en cripto monedas, no se requiere de ningún equipo especial, simplemente con un teléfono inteligente o computador con conexión a internet es suficiente.

8. Si lo desea puede utilizar cripto monedas estables y mantener su precio estable. Existen muchas cripto monedas como el USDT, USDC, etc, que se utilizan como criptos que no cambian su valor.

9. Existen muchas formas de conseguir cripto monedas sin importar tu condición social, política, económica, raza o credo. Por lo que cualquier persona puede obtener cripto monedas.

10 . Puedes hacer que compren tus artículos desde cualquier parte del mundo aceptando el pago en cripto monedas. Es seguro, rápido y confiable

Así que porqué no aceptar también como pago las criptomonedas? Las puedes cambiar a fiat en cualquier momento querido empresario.
